When you retrofit a non iDrive and the unit that is installed has the SDRAS in the CIC. I believe you disconect the SDRAS in the trunk and you do one of the follwing: Remove the SDRAS MOST Loop or Dummy it.

Does anyone have a DIY for both of these options?

I also notice that there are two Fiber Optic cables. One covered with a black shield and one not covered. Is that to distigusih which starts the loop and which is the end/return. If so which one is start loop and which one is end loop?

The easiest way to do it is to get a MOST loop terminator and just terminate the unused cable. I got mine from one of the vendors here together with the Combox Retrofit, so don't know the part number.
