May I have an update on this thread. I would like the new shifter and the new baseplate if that all works together in my 2007 e90 335i.

DCT shifter for $319.99 @ 10 people or more. That's a $50 discount!

Kawan,

BMW AG informed me that at present the 335is is only offered to the US market, they have yet to confirm if this model will be launched in RHD countries, if not I think I will stick with the LHD version as the button is not functional on steptronic transmissions anyway and this shifter is way too cool to not install !!

update... if your vehicle does not have the sport option or button and you get the baseplate, which only comes with the sport button, it will illuminate when turning on the lights through the wiring harness.

Does the 'Sport' button refer to the 'Drive Sport' shift selection, or a suspension setting?

Some vehicles don't have the "sport" option... if you do then all is fine and you can plug in directly to the new baseplate and it will work fine.

If you don't (the baseplate comes only with the sport button and would be non-functional) at least the button would light up when the lights are turned on for the ambient light. attached are 2 pics of what I am talking about

Thanks for the info. But this afternoon I just happen to see the photo of the RHD version of the DCT gearknob in a magazine featuring the upcoming 335i cabrio with DCT to be sold in Singapore. It is going to be sold under the 335i badge without the S. So I'm sure schulrog will be able to get it.

Schulrog
Did I see a RHD version of the baseplate in your latest post? So I guess that's "mine" ?

Well,

I will be taking delivery of my M-sport pkg/Dk Glacier trim/ steptronic 335i in 2-1/2 weeks. I can't wait. I remember looking at the 335is shifter and wishing I could get the DCT shifter on my car. But here's my chance! Please count me in - as long as it's plug + play & looks stock, i'm in!

P.S. 1QuikWS6, Good to see ya here, don't know if u remember me from the LS1Tech boards... Went from the TA to a 335i.
