I love my 335i, i have a 328 as well but when were talking cost of the m3, i personally would just buy a GTR. that may not be every ones opinion just telling you mine. Cotmfk, i agree on the handling but imo think a 335 msport and maybe small exterior mods give an m3 a run for the money on looks.

Make sure you buy all the other components and smaller pieces you'll need for the swap. I was surprised to see just how much other "stuff" was in the bumper kit I bought that wasnt the actual bumpers. Pretty sure it's the same thing for E92s as it is for E90s

Really? I think the LCI hood looks funky because OF the extra lines on the hood. Most people black them out anyways :P

E90 LCI front looks way cleaner IMO and the hood lines make it more aggressive.
I'm OCD with little details, but the grill strips on the hood bother me just looking at it haha I don't dislike E90 pre-LCI, but there are very few examples that I really like. I do like pre-LCI tails though, again, I like LCI more lol |

the best thing about the M3, is that without any mods, it's a damn good car
the minute you open the topic of mods, you have to come to terms with warranty issues, reliability etc and a tuned 335 is not the same as a stock M3 if your world revolves around red light races then maybe That would be true if the only differences were the engines there are a lot more parts that are different suspension, brakes, even the chassis has more weld points to make it stiffer. i've driven both, and i'm not dissing the 335, its a fantastic car. but the M3 really is a different car.

well fact of the matter is that since so many people actually compare the m3 and the 335 says it all, i have a 335 that i probably spent 30k less on to still be compared with the m3, so i feel i made a good infestment. not to knock any m3 owners, i respect fellow bimmer owners but i would not be very happy if someone was comparing a car i spent double on

4DRs was my reason. M3 didn't have it, out of consideration.

Because the difference new is about 15K And the M3 has more options as standard, so the difference is a little less if you add those options to the 335

I'm going to wait a year or two on the next M3. If it is awesome, then I might have to pick one up. You gotta do what you gotta do. TT or triple turbo M3, as
Long as it has turbos, im interested. NA is not for me.
