to the OP... any recommendations for a lift at home? WOuld love to set that up with air tools as you have.
Well on an E92 you've got me beat in miles per year I'd say. Good luck to you.

As far as lifts go, I have a Rotary SPOA10, which is a 10,000 pound, asymetrical two-post lift. My advice is go with a commerical-brand, American-made, ALI (American Lift Institute) certified lift. You need a 12-foot ceiling height for a standard auto lift like mine, but they have lower ones as well. Worth EVERY penny. I paid $3,500 for it installed back in 2004. I found a local distributor who had them in stock.

I found the dealer by asking a local Indy shop where they got their lifts from. Funny thing was the lift dealer was right across the street from the Indy.

WOW! Now THAT is really Awesome!!

I ride Beemers in the company of a fellow GS'er with 345,000 on the clock. But he, like I, replace the clutch around 80 to 100K...

I have a feeling that my drag strip runs and autocross starts in my 335 may impact my longevity

Thanks again for sharing!

Congratulations on keeping a car like this. I don't find your story unusual, for US maybe. I also drive a 328i manual transmission and plan to keep it for the years to come.I really think that's how cars should be owned, I totally dislike the way people lease a car for 3 years and then dump it. I wanted to ask you if you could share some more exact details about the original suspension kit you have fit to your car. Thank you.

I wonder the same too...
Brand new F30 335i and 6600 miles on the clock (purchased In Oct '13), but has been in for QC related issues 3 times already.

I have the 6 year warranty, trying to convince the dealer to give me the 6 year maintenance program gratis because of all these issues...

But I'm scared after 6/100k...in 2018.

Thanks! I wish all the haters out there would see this post. BMW's don't necessarily disintegrate after leaving the dealership lot.

Great to see a new car (post 2000) get to such high mileage.

A true enthusiast! Congrats and many more happy miles.

Would love some exterior/interior shots just to see how has it aged.

So just to be accurate, the numbers I've posted for total fuel cost and maintenance are actually through 194,470 miles; so the precise cost per mile up through 194K is 39.34 Cents per mile ($0.3934). But the idea is the same.

I'll take a few pics this weekend if anyone is interested. I have some recent photos of it on my phone, but the resolution is not that good. It's not much to see, just a plain ole' E90. It's been to the body shop a few times, once for the deer hit at 12,500 miles (I almost cried), and again at 95,000 when my dog (high on drugs) decided a mouse was living in the fenders and bit the wheel lip of both front fenders, tore holes in the ends of the bumper, and scratched the rocker panels all to shit. Never new a Beagle could leave teeth marks in steel, but they can - trust me.

I don't think it's unusual either since I come from a family that keeps its cars well past 150K. But I posted about it to let everyone know that the E90 N52 can easily go 200K on the BMW maintenance schedule (i.e. not the Mike Miller schedule).

I do need to replace the coolant hoses soon, just for peace of mind. I keep an eye on them at every fill up (i.e. twice a week LOL), but at some point they should be replaced. I read somewhere the hoses are engineered for 10 years replacement intervals. The whole set is about $400. The u-shaped hose between the T-stat and water pump is the most concerning...

The suspension kit was sold by BMW as a conversion kit to convert a non-sport package E90 to a sport package suspension. The kit came with all four sport dampers, new hardware, and new bushings. It was a deal, on the order of $150.00, which is why I picked it up in December 2010 and saved it for a few years before installing it. I also bought the carbon fiber strut brace at the same time because it was on sale for $300 (from $900 MSRP). Nothin' wrong with a little under-hood bling.

Good work! Glad to see you used the car the way the Germans intended and it held up doing it.
