On my stage 1 map for like 2 weeks now. Everything is awesome. The power is nice, but what i love more is the smoothness.

Fun quick story: Battery fucking died while flashing! Talk about worst case scenario.

man, that sucks. so does flashing/changing maps regularly, even with lights and other accessories turned off screw up one's battery?

Unless your battery is on its way out, you shouldn't need a charger. Especially just for switching maps.

I've installed and uninstalled mine twice now with no battery issues. Have done plenty of map changes as well.

I do make sure the AC fan is off as well as radio muted.

Probably not. With my old STi... did a bunch of flashes and I only ever had one problem (with the prehistoric Cobb AP V1 before the new V2's came out).I think I was just a douchebag and left the car door open and interior lights were on.

Battery is probably not as strong as it used to be.

Thanks man! I may just pick one up to be safe, it's kind of worth it to me anyways for $20-40....

This should work for a charger correct? Also, what is the correct process of installing Cobb AP with the battery charger? Anyone have a guide/directions of what to do first and etc?

lol What happens if there's inclement weather?!11!? Where do you...what do you wear?!?

Get one of these, hook the clamps up to the underhood posts, then read the Cobb manual for further install instructions; it's not rocket science:

I have not needed one yet, knock wood. Just keep accessories turned off and you should be fine for the 15-20 minute flash. Also wise to make sure the battery is fully charged by taking s good drive suitable to recharge the battery. Maybe 30 minutes or longer depending on how long the car has been sitting around.

Hey, guys, did a couple pulls in my car today, first one was fine, second one the car started to stater(hesitating), threw a check engine a was running very rough. After a few mins check engine went away and it started to run normal. I did not check the cel yet. Will do that tomorrow. But running stg 2+ aggressive with 7" fmic, DPs, afr intake. I know cel would be the first thing to check, but thought might get something before I check. I have plugs sitting on the shelf. Car has just under 20k miles. Thank you.

I bought the Battery charger recommended above off eBay brand new for $24 shipped, can't beat that and better safe then sorry!

So I just hook up the charger then just follow the Cobb install, can't wait for all my stuff to come in!

Charger, Cobb AP and BMS DCI!

Be careful, because if you don't do things in the exact correct order, you'll risk blowing up your engine for sure. It's in the Cobb manual.

If you're not sure how to hook up a battery charger, are you sure you want to jump into tuning your car?

Update: I got misfire cylinder 3 and cylinder 6... Gonna change plugs tomorrow

So did I get new turbos?
Sounds to me like they just rebuilt your snails man

+1
From that parts/labor list they just disassembled your old turbos, replaced the WGAs and reassembled.

The turbos are still warranted up to 86k like everybody else with a N54 (I have 68k now); and I assume what they did SHOULDN'T negate the custom tune Bren did just 2 weeks ago (as they are probably the same turbos).

Sound about right?
The WGAs are actually the key components that can change how the turbos react to the tune. Just load the map, let it adapt and then grab a couple datalogs. If it is acting goofy then just get in touch with the tuner.

i have a question..
tried doing 0-60s with the cobb by break boosting ( to about 1500-2000 rpm with dtc off ) from a stop ... however i cant
once the AP detects RPMs it starts the count -
how do you guys do this properly?
best time ive gotten was 5.3 secs

with Cobb stage 2 + aggressive, DPs ,FMIC, DCI 93 oct...was expecting way better than that

I'm no expert but had DTC on Stage1+FMIC Agg and first launch was 4.9 (2k RPM and let go the brake). I doubt that you could leave DTC off. It wouldn't hold.
