Right, isn't he worried the competitors will just buy one and then dismantle it? No way to avoid that I suppose though...

After spending 20 hrs on the dyno with Tony and tuning the car I can say that this HPFP flows A LOT more. We had negative trims the ENTIRE 2 days I was there!

Well, everyone has had these pumps in their hands for quite some time and couldn't figure it out. What we do is not readily visible unless you know what you are looking for. I am sure someone else will get it done soon. Thats just the nature of the game. I mean I wasn't the first to offer turbos for this platform, that is for sure. But I went my own route to do what I thought was better.

What kind of power would make sense to purchase this fuel pump upgrade? Stage 3 and above?

Stage 2 and up, it's beneficial if you'd like to run 100% e85 on RBs, VTT2, ASR, etc. it never hurts to have more fuel right?

THANK YOU

Thank you that expalnation it was even more detailed than what I was searching for. Yes I can read to the fine folks who made that comment. My goal was to determine if this was worth while for Cobb and FBO and from what I gather it is more a mod for 500 hp and up. I wish someone would develop a higher quality less prone to failure pump. I have noticed that not allowing the fuel level to drop below half seems to lengthen the OEM HPFP life. Anyway I guess Tony is really talented if he can improve a part that BMW or it's suppliers do not seem to be able to .

I have a quick question that I’ve wanted to ask pertaining to the HPFP upgrade. In your testing on the stg3 car, did you pull the old pump and modify that specific pump? Or did you replace with an already modified pump… different pump?

BMW could have easily made these pumps flow more if they wanted, they just engineered them to deliver the power they were putting into the car and obviously a little more. As far as durability, we go into the pump and make some changes, but nothing is done to the wear parts, the pump should live just as long of a life as a stock pump would.

I had a seperate pump we had modified in a couple different ways that we were going to try on the car, I ended up learning a few things and just pulled his pump, modified it and put it back on the car. So the car still has its original pump, just modified.

If Tony is okay with me posting a log or two showing the negative trims I would be happy to. Just need his approval first. This is his show - we are just helping

Since I am selling this product as a working solution for HPFP issues. I feel I need to post some fuel logs just as I would post dyno logs for a turbo kit. Here is a log from our last 91 run making 573 WHP where were maxing out our fuel trims and HPFP was hovering around 1000 PSI after 4000 RPM and here is one of our 670-675WHP area logs on no meth with the trims negative and the HPFP dipping to 1650 for about 4-5 cells and going right back up to 2000 PSI where it should be with the upgraded HPFP installed. Please do not ask me for me for full logs, the logs are 100% in the hands of the tuners and they will post when they are ready, I asked permission to post these.

I bought this upgraded HPFP from Tony the same day he announced it. If it was some other random vendor offering this new product without detailed technical specs. I could understand the skepticism. But at this point I think Tony has earned tons of credibility and can be taken at his word. He has backed up his words with results more than a few times already.

Now we need a proven AT upgrade. Hopefully someone figures this out soon.

UPDATE: I was misinformed. Tischer DOES infact charge us a core charge on all pumps we buy. So what this means is now we have to add a $100 core charge onto the HPFP upgrade and when we get your old pump back it will be refunded. We will NOT be modifying the pumps sent back in, they will be sent to tischer for our core refund, the only time we will modifying pumps that are not brand new is when you send us your pump directly to be modified. My apologies for the last minute change. The Correct part number for the HPFP is #13517616170. I had 3 different people tell me Tischer does not charge a core charge, thats because the In tank pump is the same exact price and they confused this pump with the HPFP.

No biggie. When do you anticipate intake and return of the first customer pumps?

First pump is going out tomorrow. To be installed on Thursday. The guy was in huge time crunch I guess. He paid for next day shipping both ways.
