What's your forum price on this map please?
Hi!

The remap is £395.00 all in on the LCI as the ECU is encrypted

Thanks.

That price is a little higher that I thought it would be.

Is it due to the developement cost becuase of the encryption?

Also, how long does the remap process take?

Hi

Yes, we charge £395.00 for all encrypted models from the 116D up to x30d etc.

If you are happy for me to use your dyno print out once complete, I will offer the remap for £345.00 all in.

The mapping will take approx 2 1/2 hours

Ha ha.

Next step is signoff from the wife! Think I'll be going down the improved economy route and see how I do!

How come you don't have a graph from the other 245bhp 330Ds you've done?

LOL the wife's go ahead is a common issue.

I have tuned 3 of them here, but none of the customers wanted the car run on the dyno.

The others I have made software for are for my dealer in South Korea.

I see. I don't know much about tuning as you possibly can tell, but why would someone not want to put the car on the rollers? Does it add a lot of time to the process?

2 of them were from the same company and said they were more interested in how it drove on the road, but everyones different.

I prefer to dyno test each car where possible.

Cool.

Right, will start the work on the wife tonight!

I've also asked my mate with a 335i if he's interested - I presume you can do these with no problem too?

Yes, no problem at all on the x35i models. We are currently the only UK tuner offering mapping on the latest N55 x35i models too

Stage 1 remap offers approx 370hp and 380 -395lbs/ft torque

Better off just not mentioning it. <£400 is easy to hide and she may not notice the extra power. A remap+missing £400 is not immediately obvious, unlike say the time my wife went on holiday and a new motorbike had arrived when she got back.

Ha Ha, quality

I presume we're looking at sub 6 second 0-60 once mapped?

Also, is the 155 mph limiter removed with the remap? Not that I'll ever get anywhere near that, but just out of interest.

You know you will be driving to Germany and giving it some stick if you get it remapped...

Hi

Yes indeed.

The limiter can be removed free of charge for ''motorsport use'' if the customer requests it.

Driving to the midlands leaving wifey with no car for a day could be hard to achieve without being rumbled!

More remap questions to those with one.

1) Is the rev limit raised?

2) With the 6pot denzil already being really smooth and quite linier, what other benefits can I excpect other than more power/torque and more effeciency. For example, will it do anything to reduce turbo lag?
