M3 Bumper Duct
Hey there,
Looking at getting an E90 M3 Front Bumper but don't want to install fogs at the front. Does anyone know where you can buy these ducts: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-M3-...Duct/ES206646/ Also, does removing the fogs cause any error on dash? |

If you have a 320 then you can buy the 335i brake cooling ducts when you remove the bumper all the fitting points are there.
You then just cut the wheel arch liner as indicated and fit them. On the front bumper you just need to dremmel off the piece of plastic acting as a blanking plate behind the grill as it forms part of the fotlight mount. All sorted Did it to mine when car had 50miles on clock if you pm me your email I can send you some pics

I bought a set from the dealer as i was thinking of removing the fogs. They needed a fair bit trimmed off to fit and will have no real function unless you fabricate ducting. But if its for cosmetics they look fine.
They were about £90 from the dealer. I've not decided to go for it yet and was thinking i might just sell them. You need to cut the foglight brackets off and once done its hard to then change your mind!! They fit snuggly on the m3 rep bumper though |

I've had the 335i cooling ducts trhough on couple of track days and ring trips and they work a treat. IMO should be more than up to the job on a 320. a 335i I an see a possible need to up to m3 ducts since the car is heavier etc etc. But on a 320i its enough and far easier mod plus you get to keep the fogs and grills etc,
I suppose other route is to fit performance bumper

I looked into doing this when I bought my m3 rep, but backed out when I looked at the task in hand. You have to hack off all the mounts for fogs, then hack up the ducts to get them to fit. You then either have to find a way to mount the fogs behind the bumper to avoid errors, or get them coded out.
I just decided to keep them, it gets foggy here and I didn't like the idea of buying new stuff then hacking them up...

Sounds like ball ache this... I need to weigh things up, have seen the threads on the forum of how to modify the bumper + ducts to fit but wasn't sure about the fog light errors

The install of the bumper itself was pretty easy... There is a video on youtube somewhere that walks you through it. The guys in the states all seem to talk about wrapping the fogs in bubble wrap and cable tying them behind the bumper, followed by the 'I'll just remember not to turn the fogs on' statement. That didn't really cut it for me... I like the aggressive look of the fog delete, just didn't like the hassle...

You will need the sport fogs, they are the same in the 5 series and the e90. Got mine on ebay for £50. You will also need to get the h4 plug, got this off ebay for about £6. Then its a simple enough job to swap the plugs and the fogs, install bumper... job done! From memory, most of the M3 replicas around are all pre-lci... there may be some about, but not as plentiful...

Thanks mate before I fit the bumper I might give the grills a nice coat of black to match the kidneys... from pics they look to be a greyish tone, will move closer to that duct look
