I read through a lot of old threads and the B12 kit kept coming up. Seems to be a fairly well tried bit of kit and I didnt want to risk it. Ive had Eibachs before and found them to be very good. Bilstein are a well known brand so seemed a bit of a no brainer for me. Its a bit of a safe choice i guess but I didnt want to have yet another set fitted! |

Ah ok, that's a fair point! Glad it's gone smoothly, enjoy the drop and get it aligned soon! I also have RFTs and didn't mind premature wear of tyres but thought plenty of tread left so why waste money. I'll get new 'shoes' next year and have them wrapped in normal tyres so make the most of the RFTs now

This is really good because I have a 08 325i E92 SE, also with 230s on and run flats (for now).
The drop you have achieved is exactly what I'm after so many thanks for posting the pics. What I'm keen to know though is the ride quality. Is this kit springs only or springs and dampers? And how is the initial damping over small bumps? At high speeds, the damping over the initial 2-3" of travel is what really let's mine down. The car can shift on the road considerably when going over expansion joints on roundabouts etc. That's what I'd like to solve, along with the ride height. What are your thoughts? |

The ride quality over a bumpy B road isnt as comfortable as the SE, but it doesnt bounce and wallow down the road like it used to. It is firm and would feel better with normal tyres on. It doesnt crash over bumps like an M Sport would do though. Turn in is sharp and high speed cornering is amazing. Ive now got so much more confidence when driving the car quickly. Go for it, its well worth it |

Got my 4 wheel alignement done last week. Went through align my car and it came up with Just Car Clinic in Banbury. Took over an hour and a half to get it spot on and cost.............Ł49! Bargain. The guy who did it was very keen and i spent most of the time under my car chatting with him. Recommended

Result alignment is much more about the man than the machine IMO. If you've got someone who's either interested or capable, or both, you'll get a much better job.

I agree. Watching it being done was fasinating. It needs flair and passion. You have to allow for camber and our crap roads! Getting it all dead center is not always the right way!

If it doesn't feel better after four alignments then I think you need to get Bilstein to have a look at it |

Man there some good deals going on B12 at the moment.
I really keen on it but I also have SE suspension and 17' RFT. Not sure if its going to bang me around too much. That being said my stock suspension is bad at...everything! Any more long term usage comments? |

I have driven it on 17"non run flat winters, 19" run flats and now 19" non run flats. I don't think you will have any problems on 17" run flats. Still loving the look and handling plus the comfort is good on my 19s
