Well, I need to find some bumper plugs for my front bumper... I removed the front license plate, and it looks much better... I just have to find something to take care of the two holes left by the license plate frame, and might go witht he bumper plugs....
Any suggestions? Maybe even putting the original screws back in??? |

BK,
Yeah, I was a little perturbed to have that sticker on the windshield, it looks off especially coupled with the country/city decal. Note, this is my first VA registered car, my other car being still FL registered (no stickers, property tax etc.) Did they check for tints?

They didn't check for tints at all as far as I could tell. If you look at the Virginia State Police safety inspection site, they list the inspection procedure. It is not clear that checking tints is part of it (maybe those items I've bolded below?):
12. – INSPECT WINDSHIELD AND OTHER GLASS FOR:
Donny - I don't have and won't get a county decal. And if you have one now, you can remove the county decal if you are in Fairfax County. As of July 1st, they don't require them any more: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dta/pdf...MoreDecals.pdf

BK...I'm in Alexandria City
Thanks for the info, I believe the bolded text allude to tint inspection although a note would probably be made, only in extreme cases. Also, would safety inspection, check for front plates?

My front plate is off as of now, and I dont think the tints are going to give me a problem. Ill end up running over to a local shop soon to get my inspection done... Maybe they will do it for free since my car is so amazingly beautiful |

We should be recieving the part in 2-3 weeks, so Ill be sure to post pics when its all done... Its pretty much a plug and play... if you notice, the space where the button should be is partially a button now... Not the solid piece I once thought it was... I just do a lot of backcountry driving in western PA and MD where they often get fog. I see it more as a safety feature than a gimmick... |

For $53 its a worthy safety feature...aside from foggy conditions, the rear fogs would also come in handy in inclement wintry conditions with poor visibility...
