Akebono brake pads
i found these pads that are for the e90 sedan. i have been told that they are better than OEM, and they dont give off any dust. im willing to try these out.
if anyone is intrested, i will ship them out to you also. akebono is a good brand, and if you dont know, they make the BBK for the G37S. does anyone have experience with these pads? |

They dust but about 80% less.Stopping power is virtually the same IMO opinion for street use. Track and autocross may be a different story.I don't do either so the Akebono Euro Ceramics work well for me. Akebono doesn't make rear ceramics yet but I found Axxis / PBR Metal Master Street Pads at Turnermotorsports.com to dust much less than stocks in the rear. |

BMW OEM pads are shit. They don't last long and they dust like crazy. I hate to say it, but Duralast Gold is probably a better ceramic pad than the BMW OEM pad. If you want good pads, get EBC Redstuff.

They do make them for rear wheels (BMW anyway). I actually ordered a set for my car via tirerack a bit ago and they were special orders. Arrived today! As soon as my new rotors arrive, it's install time.

i had thr pro act ceramics on my dd accord and they are awesome pads i would highly reccomend them. although i think you would be better off installing them without the shims if they send those. they just add noise and vibration.

I just bought the fronts from Tire Rack on sale for $90 for my 335. No rears listed. The last I read online somewhere was the rears aren't available yet. |

I have used Hawk Ceramics for years and have had nothing but Gr8 experience with them, stopping is incredible! That is why I just ordered them from ECS (Thanks), and received just a few days ago. I have also ran the green stuff and loved those as well, I do not track my car so I stay away from red and yellow.
Let us know your experience with the above said pads.

Our brakes are also on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 car, the 370Z BBK and many other OE applications that aren't quite as interesting. Last edited by DV; 08-07-2009 at 02:03 PM.. |

I've enjoyed the Cool Carbon pads 9 (front/rear) for the past few months. Very little dust (after break-in) and excellent performers for street/track use.
