My brother is a bankruptcy lawyer (aka evil). A good number of his clients would have said the above before paying him to file for them. Medical bills, unemployment issues, and not being well-covered by home and auto insurance pay his salary...

100k/300k with 50k property, 500 deductible and 100k/300k unisured coverage. Pay about $100 a month on my IS.
When I asked them insurance rate for potential new m3, they quoted me $1600 for one year.

Check out wawanesa as long as you have a clear record and good credit (they check your credit to see if you have a higher likelihood of fraud)

For my wife and I, we have 100k/300k/100k coverage with $500 deductible.

To the OP
Depends how old you are and what kind of insurance is this? 1-800 ones? because that is to high for such low coverage in a big city.
Sorry, I must have missed this post. I see you have 2 extra discounts? I wonder if I can get that. I got my insurance back in LA, but it was like 2300/6months, so when I got to 650, I called to change my address and my insurance went down to 1900 LOL. Do you have BMW assist? I have it but it's disconnected, but I told my insurance I have it and they gave me like $75 extra off, you should get that too! hahaha What company do you use?

My dad does insurance and is a broker for many insurance companies. Benefits are that he can search multiple companies for you and get you the best possible rate with coverages that match your lifestyle and what you need. Id recommend that you try to give him a call and see what he can do for you. Tell him your a friend of mine (Andrew) from the bmw forums and he won't charge you a broker fee or anything, give it a shot.
(818)-seven81-384nine. His name is Fred.

The worse that can happen is that he says your rate is better than anything he can get, which must mean that you are paying a good price and shouldn't switch lol.

He's got a website to that you can submit an online application for a quote, but might be easier to just call. www.famcoinsurance.com

Dayum, insurance cost more down there then up here. But nah, I don't have BMW Assist i'm sure it did at one time but it's not active anymore. I have State Farm insurance, it's under my name and I might get more discounts in couple months since I got my family members to join State Farm

After I read this post and what others have decided to check my insurance. I just realized I have crappy insurance. Not anywhere close to all those posted yet I am paying A LOT more. I had no clue since my uncle did all the paperwork and I just wanted to drive. Had the car for over 3 years now since I got it new in 2010.

This is what I currently have. Driving a 2010 335i coupe in Bellflower/Lakewood/Cerritos area

Collision deductible waiver 0/0/18/500
Rental ($30/30days)
Good driver discount
11 years driving
27yr old. single male

It really is totally different person to person, but I've got Geico and even the BEST quote I've gotten from someone else is 3x my current price.

you have the state minimum coverage at 15/30/10. i'd personally recommend getting higher coverage as it won't increase the premium by too much. and it looks like your "higher" rate of 211/month is mainly coming from your 0 deductible for comp and collision.

Nobody in their right mind carries $0 comp and collision. By going to $500, you'll probably save $80-100/month. Unless you are having an accident/claim every 5-6 months, you will come out way ahead.
