You need to understand that way more people on this forum have procede than any other product so the volume is relative... spend as much time reading the positive threads about vishnu, read some of Shiv's posts and realize how much better he understands your car than any other tuner out there, let it swirl around in your head a bit, make your decision. Not every tune is for every owner.

Good advice, I will leave that to the cool people like yourself who apparently are intimately familiar with that gayfest. I could not afford the costume anyway

Thanks, but you should fit right in at my gayfest where you don't have to be cool and don't need a costume (or any other clothing for that matter).

Seems like about 20% of poeple have problems, 15% of those are people screwing it up themselves, and the other 5% is limp problems, map problems, ecu code change problems, etc...

shiv is probably pretty close on his 90-95% with no problems (that weren't their own fault) figure

I'm so tired of these threads. Bro, the procede is not for you. Don't buy it and move on with your life. There's plenty of other options out there for you.

Just for the record, in 16 years of modding cars the procede is the best single mod I've ever bought for any of my cars.

You’re not knocking his product? You are totally contradicting yourself bro by even posting this sh*t up!

I’m one of his customers that have had problems with my ride, I can tell you he has always returned my PM's and emails. In fact, I was just having issues with my car and he worked on a special map just for me during his time off. I appreciate that. My car is a September 2006 build and most of my problems have been because of BMW. Two fuel pumps, a break sensor, door handle, and a defective tire.

Also how are you going to tell the man how to spend his money? Isn’t the whole idea of Business to generate money? So what if he buys a lambo, I don’t care if he goes out and get a F16. He has worked hard and succeeded in making a great product. I’m a business man, so on the commerce side of things I think he’s doing very well, low over head cost, high demand product, and great brand recognition. That a recipe for success. Sh*t I even offered him a large some of money to let me partner up but I don’t blame him for turning me down.

And do I have to remind you that these are machines, things go wrong and they break. Also don’t forget human error.

I can’t believe that you have the audacity to criticize his customer service when you don’t even own the product! WTF?

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE HOW ABOUT NOT MAKEING STUPID ASS POSTS ABOUT COMPANIES YOU DONT KNOW SH*T ABOUT ON THIS PART OF THE FORUM. Of course, people are going to post issues on this section of the forum, it is “General forced induction and 335i engine tuning talk.”

I'm going to have to go with Chitown on this one. He pretty much nailed it imo.

It took us about 10 days to solve the 3rd to 4th gear shift issue with the new v2.0.2 map thanks to help of several customers who provide us with datalogs and feedback. The option to go back to v2.0.1 was always there for those who wanted to wait until the problem was solved. Right now, the other other "problem" that I'm aware of is terminals breaking during install. They are not breaking at crimps which indicates that they are not put together improperly. The terminal itself is breaking which is caused by tension in the wire putting pressure on the terminal itself. This is avoidable as explaned in the instructions. We are always looking for ways to make things less failure prone but when you ship out 100 v2s land at customer doorsteps at the same time, I fully expect some issues to arise during installation. We do our best to solve them. And for the next 2-3 weeks (as we catch up with back order), we expect to keep doing just this. After that, v2 will be integrated into the PROcede system which means that customers will no longer have to populate the black connector, update firmware, upload maps, etc,. It'll be nice for all of us. But the next few weeks are going to be interesting. We are doing our best to rest up for the rest of the holidays before work begins again.

Shiv
thank you for the good and hard work for us procede's customer. SInce we are in the middle of the holiday season. it is very hard for you guys to work and spent time with your love one..

shiv just focus on whatever you are working on. would it be easy to have the map label like v2.0.3, v2.04, v2.05 , etc. In my opinion, it is easy for me to tell which map that i uploaded

no complaints here... just can say he was able to help me even though my big problem was not procede related. Shiv answered the phone right away.

Their bad customer service, according to lot of ppl come from "delivering" the product itself, and they are catching up pretty fast lastely. we just bitch and cry too much for something we dont even need because we don't/didnt have. This shit is just like crack to a junkie!!!

Since this thread is probably going to be closed momentarily, I thought I would get my $0.02 in right now.

First of all, I would be shocked if there are even 50 unique users (1000+ units x 5%) who have had problems not caused by an installation error or not following the instructions from Vishnu. Most of the people who go beyond the recommendations/warnings from Shiv realize they're venturing into unknown or dangerous territory and don't expect Vishnu to throw them a life preserver.

To the OP: thanks for starting another pointless thread that serves no technical or informational purpose. Next time maybe start a "6MT vs 6AT" or "should I remove my piggyback before service" thread....

Maybe those of us that have owned PROcede (14K miles for me so far), and never had any issue what so ever should start posting about our lack of issues each time a "help Shiv" post comes up so that a valid conclusion can be drawn about the overall reliability of the product. If you go to any manufacturer specific forum, say Apple for instance, you would conclude that the product in question was error prone based on the number of posts reporting 'issues' vs those reporting a lack thereof. My experience with Vishnu has been very positive: Quick, thoughtful replies to all questions via PM and phone, thorough installation documents, highly reliable product (especially for a 1st gen), and progressive product evolution at a relatively low cost. I wish Intel would flash my laptop with a 40% performance increase for $150, but it won't happen. My only gripe about Vishnu is the fairly long wait for V2 to ship, but I always had the impression that the delays were due to reasonable manufacturing related issues, which any small company has with extremely popular new products. The alternative is to wait until the product is stocked in sufficient supply before announcing it's availability, but in the end you get it at the same time (or later for those vigilant enough to have secured a early queue position). Anyway, that's my experience with Vishnu so far.

I’m sorry I don’t hit spell check and write rough drafts before I post on this site. I was under the impression that validity of issue were more important the spelling and simple grammatical oversight!
