Simota Full Carbon Fiber Airbox CF610-27 - Any reviews out there?

I've been searching and searching, and it seems no one really has this intake. I just picked one up the other day, and am now waiting on it to be shipped. I'm hoping someone out there can give some first hand feedback.

Obviously reading on the forums, everyone says that intakes are BS, but I had an itch that needed to be scratched lol. Beyond that, it's a beautiful piece and I really like the sound....so say what you want. Beyond that, I don't really like the look of any of the other intakes that I can afford, and I got a pretty good deal on this one.

Questions for anyone that has one...

How's the sound?
Feel any gains? Loss?
Overall how do you like it?

Will do . I'll definitely be making a few before/after videos as well as pictures of the install. I'm unfortunately going to be out of town until next Tuesday, soooo you can look for an update around that time. I'll be sure to link off from this thread as well

I got a pretty good deal on it IMO, but I'm sure I'll still catch a lotta crap. Anyways though...it ended up at $415 shipped. Much much much cheaper than Dinan, Gruppe-M, or the sealed AFE system. With the exception of the Gruppe-M, I think it also is much better looking as well

Pretty old intake. I used to have it about 2 years ago but had fitment problems. I think it was just mine though lol. Not bad for a closed intake though.

That sentence in bold doesn't make sense, you picked one up but it's being shipped, you mean you ordered one. Just pointing it out

Let's get back on track, the one in the picture looks just like a Simota Intake V2, it probably is. Also in my opinion intakes give little to no gains. Most people buy them just for the sound because they sound so awesome!

Here's a video I found that probably is that intake your looking at.

Ahhh the grammer nazi's . Ok, I just placed an order with a seller, and it is being shipped to me momentarily.

Thanks for the input! All else fails...the look and sound is great. I wish I could do some before/after dyno too, but I really don't feel like using my extra income for that at the moment.

can you share the source of this price... 400-500 is very competitive to Eurobox and Afe

Yes ECS has the eurobox for that price, but dont forget 30 shipping & $60+ for K&N round filter/pipercross/AFE for that box

OP got Simota for a steal.

Have a look at this review
treat it as Simota vs Eurobox with Euro BMP filter
