Fast forwarding through a long ipod track?

I have the newest idrive/nag and ipod and I was wondering how do I fast forward through long tracks? I have a lot of mixes that I want to be able to skip through. Also, is there a way to get a separate podcast menu to load up? Currently I have to find podcasts under the artist name. I tried searching but found nothing. Thank you.

I know of no way besides holding down the seek button, either on the wheel or below the DVD slot.

Now, it annoys me to no end that the up button on the steering wheel maps to prev/rw and down maps to next/ff...
