The benefits of being the orig owner-

I bought mine used, 3 yr old a bit over 50,000 miles. By the time I hit 75,000 miles the cruise control would shut off going uphill, similar the way it turns off when it's slick out and the car detects traction slipping. I had no idea what it was until I realized the clutch was slipping going uphill! Clearly the prev owner shouldn't have had a car with a stick. I replaced the clutch on the orig flywheel for less than $600.

Agreed, these vehicles age very well, and are less costly to maintain than the previous model.

Just checking in here, just hit 92,000 miles on my 2006 e90 325i Sports Package... Purchased the car with 54,000 its my DD, and slowly but surely I have her the way I like it!

Problems I'm having are rough idle. Car shakes/vibrates when idle. Gonna change plugs soon. Lets hope it just the plugs!

try replacing the idle pulley / belt tensioner / serpentine belt / new battery. Spark plugs also if they have never been changed

Plugs are good start. Clean MAF sensor, vanos, and pop eccentric valve plug to see if there is oil in it.. If there is, u need to get that replaced.

'06 330i with ~92K on it. No mods. Bought it two years ago with ~62K on it. Just had to replace a coil and the plugs. Other than that, a water pump is the only other thing to have required service.

I had an E30 that went 220K and an E36 that went for 280K. I'm hoping this one will make it somewhere close to those.

I've got at least 70k on my 08 328i coupe so far I've only had to replace the starter on it I plan on upgrading maybe on an M series

45k on 09 e90 328xi. Had to replace fuel pump around 40k, was covered and didn't pay a dime, though
