2011 E90 Harman Kardon

Does nobody have a set of optimized settings for 2011 e90 with HK?

It seems so crazy that nobody would have taken the time to take some sound measurements and optimize the system. Malek (MRF) offered for months and months to optimize someone's system for free so he could get some readings, yet it looks like he has had no takers.

Does anybody have some settings for me to follow?

What do mean by HK .

The trouble here is there is no standard nomenclature.
All BMW systems are made by the Harmon Becker company sometimes
the HK label appears on the tweeter housing.
There are three common systems for the e9x series plus the EPS which is rare. (has a bigger amp and even more speakers is
a 2000 dollar option )
The common systems are the stereo , Hi Fi and Top Hi Fi.
The top hi fi is (the L7) sometimes referred to as the HK .

So you need to identify which system you have in terms the other members
on this board can understand. Since the Top Hi Fi is the one that
people
like to adjust that has more than bass treble, balance and fader that is the
only one you are likely to find adjustments on .

Please use the following pdf to identify your system.

I had an e46 with the Harman Kardon sticker on the tweeters.

Ok, so I will try the stickied instructions for my L7 HK system (top fi).

I still feel like I read somewhere that the speakers changed post 2009.

I have read that else seven and Harman Cardin do not have the same need you. That being said you may want to look in the same thread for settings for your specific model year

The only quote I see in there form Malek is:

"The settings posted are not intended for your audio system, it is intended for the L7 audio before they started calling it the HK system.

I need someone to contact me with an HK system so I can compile some settings for that system too so I can update this thread."

Apparently Malek has yet to come across a single e90 with HK L7 to do some calibrations on.

If I lived out near where his shop is I would be there tomorrow to have him do it himself but I'm a couple thousand miles away.

Please correct me if there is something solid in there about the system I'm looking for info on.

Thanks for any help.
