Load rating - does it matter?

Hi guys,

I'm considering getting some Pirelli P Zero tires... problem is, the rears only come with an XL rating, which is more than specified by BMW.

As follows:

Pirelli P Zero XL (MO) 225/40 R18 Y92
Pirelli PZero XL MO 255/35 R18 Y94

The fronts are available in non XL - but I'm assuming it may be a better idea to stick with XL all round, not mix and match? The way I understand it, is they'll have stiffer sidewalls, but probably not as stiff as RFTs?

Also, the MO thing - I assume that means it's Mercedes approved? No issue?

I've mixed XL and non-XL... the issue for me was that aesthetically the sidewall of the XL tires had a more square look to them.

I would not be too concerned about this particular mix.
