I would take it out as if they know you have that piggyback they may call you up and say something along the lines of....

"come down here and take it out, because we can't work on your car unless it's out" OR they may say, since you have a piggy installed, that the work they are doing now will not have warranty. Generally dealership work is covered for 12 months and x number of miles.

Save the worries and remove it.

So will map selection work like before, where you set by default to have valet on or off, and if off, which map to start with, and on every engine start, that's how it is?

Or will the last selection via the DTC button now become a sticky, and the next time the car starts, it picks the last selected map/valet mode? (my vote!)

First of all, glad to see this feature is implemented now even though it wasn't initially. Do I get a cookie?

I had missed the "going to" part initially... So when will the last map selected become persistent? With the next set of maps (the MT lagfix ones)?

So with nothing more than a drop in K&N filter(lots more to come soon though) i am stage 1 right? For some reason i am thinkin there was a stage 0 or something. Perhaps i am way of the mark, just wanna make sure so i don't push the turbos too hard.

I ave rev II CANbus.... with 7-29 maps

FYI:

Just to clarify, the private (email only) beta maps that I've been emailing around for the last couple of weeks actually ran less peak boost (which occurred at 5500-6000rpm) than previous maps (7-29 and earlier). This was the case in all stages.

With the public (posted on the forum) beta maps, we brought boost targets back to where they have been for the past several months in Stg 2 and 3. Stg 1 still has the slightly reduced peak boost.

So no, we did not raise boost with the new maps. We actually dropped them during trial testing and then brought them back up to normal

And yes, even at lower boost pressures, the private beta maps were quicker than any previous map. The public beta maps should be even more so. And even more so once we release the 6MT throttle lag fix!

Just update to the newest maps and firmware...All the features are now functional...valet....also Shiv stated these maps are better performance than the beta ones because he mapped it with less boost up top with the beta ones from mail

Still a worthy update though. Try it!

Shiv
shiv,

you said that rev1 users will have some of the performance but not the canbus related features in this latest update, but is the lagfix2 logic available to rev1 users or is this a canbus-only feature?

thanks,

just took her for a test drive. i definitely noticed the lagfix, which was awesome. didnt really notice the 5500-6000 power increase, but maybe im not sensitive enough. is it worth to dyno over?

thanks again shiv, cant wait for the specific 6MT map.

I dont understand why you indicate that the Throttle Lag Fix is a "comming soon" feature...

This problem has already eliminated on your beta maps. Aren't those maps the same? Whatever I do , the car refuses to lag during upshift (still using beta maps though).

LagFix2 and throttle lag fix are two separate things. Throttle lag fix is an issue seen in all 6MT cars, even stock. Shiv has figured out a solution and is working on it (hopefully to be released next week).

Wow, people need to start searching these forums. Half of these questions in this thread have been answered in other threads of Shiv's regarding stages, and if these maps will work with Rev 1.

To the users that have problems with the new map switching of the DTC button. If you don't like the new features you can stay on your old maps. They will work just fine for years to come. No one is putting a gun to your head to upgrade to the new maps. Personally the keyfob was nice, but you could never tell what map you were on and I hated carrying the keyfob around anyways. The DTC button makes life so much easier.

I prefer the dtc thing over any of the previous ways, including the vent gauge. I dont see the issue.

I think the vent gauge will be a good replacement for using the keyfob when we get meth though

I really enjoy the DTC switching. If the factory had a Power button it would be similar. If a flash had a switching option, it would be similar to this. It works well and is easily accessible.

My friend...you obviously dont pay attention to what I "say" above or my English are not good enough.

I'm running the Beta maps and THERE IS NO LAG/HESITATION/BOG (call it what you want) on upshifts ,even with these maps. What more should we expect when the "throttle fix" comes up?

Maybe the beta maps has this feature enabled and the new public ones ,not?

Note: Yes, I have a 6MT car
