Just seems a little convenient that your car will not come when you ave a wide group of 335's at one event.

SIK, i don't know if you saw but we booked a block of rooms where most people are staying at the Hampton Suites in Ridgecrest for $79.

Use group code CHXASA for your group discount. You may also call and let them know you are booking for the Shift-S3ctor Event in Trona and they will give you a discount. Regular rooms start at only $79.00.

We will probably have a little gathering that Friday night at the hotel to meet and greet whoever is there.

Actually no more convenient than the fact that you didn't show up when Eric was right there in your backyard at Sacramento. And you knew he was going beforehand. But again, I understand we don't both know each others personal situations, and there was probably good reason why you couldn't make it. As far as my car, if it pleases you, I can go out in the garage and take a picture of a 100% stock car with my phone and text it to you, lol. As I already said, I probably won't even have the car when the event comes up. Otherwise, I would have attended. You on the other hand have no reason not to share the performance numbers on your car like I have. And if your car is faster, I'm sure you would be more than happy to display the graphs. There is a reason all the major car boards use the Vbox to measure 60-130 times, etc. So why not Vbox test your car in the 60-130, qtr mile, etc?

There are vbox tests of my car, while not as many as yours they are on this board. No need to take pictures of stock cars. As for Eric and the Sac event on New Years eve you both know why I was not there. But let's not mention that the last willow event was in your back yard and so is this one. Only differance I actually show when I call someone out. But that's beside the point. Either way I will see you there since your the camara guy now. Lol.

But it is what it is. It's gonna be a great event and I think all the guys with cars will have a blast.

I would probably have gone if I were still to have the car. But you have to realize I did dozens of these 0-150mph runs in a matter of weeks...so its not as exciting for me as it might be for a first timer. Also, I don't think it would be very fun getting slaughtered by all those 700-1000hp cars! But they will be fun to watch nevertheless.

Can't be the same as running in this type of format: with another car next to you and 75 other guys looking on with no trepedation whatsover about getting pulled over by the police and put in jail.

Some of those cars are extremely traction limited (not the Porsche's/GTR's). I wonder if our (much) lower HP 335's with LSD's could take the initial lead and hang for a while. Surely not the entire run, but it would be fun to see for how long. Maybe I'll grab one of those Go Pro's and ask a couple of them to run me.

Okay, I really didn't wanted to get in between you and Hotrod. But here is the fact.

He lives in my area and I have met him couple times in our weekly local meet, I have heard alot about him and his freakish E90 before. So I met up with him personally to see what he has done to his car that pretty much put any other modded 335i to shame. So I asked for permission go around and check out his car and he was coo to let me do that. Okay...stock exhaust...aftermarket dp...dci...tune...stock intercooler, and meth? Everything else looked stock..nothing suspicious in his setup. I was skeptical too but after I went through to inspect the whole car, whatever he stated on this forum is legit with vbox records to back up his statements. It's frustraiting to see his pretty much stock 335i runs like a champ while my modded to the no other parts avaiable 335i runs slower than his.
Again, I wasn't going to get in between you two but Today I ran into Hotrod while I was getting some parts to fix my damn car and saw his E90 completely back to stock. I politely asked him again if I can check out under the hood, and everything else was returned back to stock. I was hoping he would go to airstrip run but no point of taking stock E90 335i to run those 600~1000hp beasts.

So there you go. No I do not know the guy well enough to defend him. Like I stated above, I asked him politely so I can inspect. But he was coo to let me do that. Just wanted to clear things up.

Don't worry, people on the internet argue about the most ridiculous things sometimes. Thats why I like to see perfomance numbers mainly. Dragstrip/Vbox numbers are the best. You get lots of opportunities to see whats the best that your car can do. One roll on event doesn't mean much between close cars unless both cars start at EXACTLY the same time, and both drivers have perfect shifting/timing/etc, etc.

Anyways, it was good seeing you again. I hope you get your car running well so you can go.If you do, and want to get some test runs done on the Vbox, let me know! I am still trying to talk my coworker into taking his beast GTO there. He seemed more interested in taking his liter bike though. Does anyone know if bikes are allowed? Also, Terry signed up, and if for some reason he can't make the drive out there...I told him I will gladly drive up there for him! He said depending on his family commitments, he will definitely consider the possibility. You see, the last event was out of the question because I thought it was on a Friday, which wouldn't have worked with my schedule. But Saturdays are good to go!
