12,000 and not salvage? You'll be lucky to find a rebuilt one for 12,000.

It will be tough bud, wait a few months to the new 3 series come out then e90 prices will fall. You will have to also get one with a ton of miles.

05 is E46, 06 Sedan is E90, coupe is still E46.

I found some for around 12,000 but they're all rebuilt (salvage), with high mileage, theres about 25 in the whole country, which means maybe 1 or 2 near you.

Your best bet is to look at the cleanest rebuilt with the least miles.

If not, I recommend an e46.

Thanks boss, curious though do you think it will be possible to find one by june? I also can negotiate the price, saying that the new I belive F36 3 series will be out and that the price of the cars will depricate. Thanks for your kind reply.

No, I've seen very clean examples of rebuilt. Thing is, you have to see what the car has been salvaged for.

Salvage means totaled, where the cost of repair equals or surpasses the value of the vehicle at the time of the collision.

If a car, for example, suffered a rear-end collision where the bumper, rail and trunk were affected, most likely the car will be "salvaged" due to potential extensive repairs. In reality, the drivetrain of the vehicle is still running well. At that point, everything is cosmetic damage.

You just have to know where to look. I've seen repairs done that look like new, and obviously everything else is intact. Remember to look at the electrical system, as some repairs are cheaply done, which interfere with engine diagnostics.

Well im 17 how could I figure out how the car was savage. Because I would not mind it salvaged if it was done right. I know flood salvage is bad.

Stay away from anything related to water.

You need to first run a carfax, then talk to whoever repaired the car. Lastly, and the most important thing, is to bring a certified mechanic to inspect the car or take the car to one. My advice is take it right to BMW for inspection. They will point out the history of the car by looking over everything. If they cant find any history of the car being in an accident, most likely the repairs were done right.

Its a long-ish process, but if you do it right, you'll find a deal. Thing is, prepare to keep the car, because resale is hard if you dont want to lose money.

Have you tried an e30? For 12k, you could get the best drivers car (e30) with an S38 M5 motor swapped in.

1. Prolly not, but hey who knows. It all depends on the market. You might not be able to get $ back that you paid for tho.

2. IDK... just spend more money and get a decent one. You save that pain in the axx thing. Trust me

2006 E90 330i?

Lowest I've seen is 14,000 with 130k miles on it.

Check this one out, the 330i on the badge is scrambled meaning the car does have a "quick fix" smell to me, but its near you.
