just estimate your flywheel HP. i think it's a required field in the shift-s3ctor online sign up sheet.

Got the 126mph Qtr mile run out of the Vbox SD card. (It was actually 125.9 on the graph). So my lightweight exhaust gave me at least a .50mph trap speed increase over my previous 125.3mph runs. For comparison sakes, here is a couple of nitrous runs after the non nitrous graph. Highest was 131.2 mph on the nitrous With the nitrous you can see I hit 120mph over 100ft sooner than without it.

Looks like you, SRanch335 and I have just about the same mods, so it will be interesting to see how we do against each other, especially if we are all full weight.

Good luck guys! Are some of you bringing go-pros, etc? On the last event..the website videos showed only the finish line...they should have shown more of the cars as they approached the finish line.

Warren, the event is on a Saturday. So why don't you just cruise up with me? Should still be a lot of fun just to spectate. I'll even drive.

The stock turbo 335's wont run as strong as they do at sea level at this elevation, the same as the Willow event the only way for Hotrod to get some good clean data is to throw his 4 mods in and bring the car.
I mean what perfect time to do it open event 6 more modded 335's same conditions same strip everything the same. Really to be there as a spectator I can already tell you that you won't be able to refrain from your deductive reasoning of comparing your car to those at 1600 plus elevation which would be a biased comparison. Even comparing your run with Xtyper at sea level to his run at this event with other cars would be biased. But I'm sure you will do what you will do. I think the best thing to do is come with the car the N20 is obviously not here yet to buy. I think this would be the first unbiased runs that you are able to run with multiple tuned cars. You should bring the car |

But really.. weather is cool..and you will get your best numbers near sea level. Can't wait to see some vbox graphs on your car too! You are right about the elevation. Cars will be slower, and I can guarantee you won't hit 126mph traps up there, or a 8.39 60-130 time. Thats why I am telling you, why not find ideal conditions, near sea level and test your car on a vbox? I mean, you need to instrument your car to see how it performs. Wouldn't you want to show your best numbers rather than the slower numbers at higher elevation? FYI: Sacramento is the same elevation as where I test anyways. So its plain physics. If you have good temps, similar slope to my runs, they are absolutely comparable. As good as people trying to compare dyno numbers or different race tracks. Why wouldn't it be comparable? Its not like I test on a road with low rolling resistance or something, LOL. Instead of being at the mercy of the conditions that day, you can test numerous times and show us when you get some good Vbox numbers. I would assume if you had already hit a 126mph Vbox trap you would have already shown it. Why wouldn't you? Not that I would be surprised, with the boost levels, racing fuel, intercooler, etc...you will probably beat my numbers if you haven't already. It would just be cool to see your acceleration graphs. The Vbox numbers don't lie. That is why when I was running Eric and our cars were running neck and neck, the Vbox numbers totally supported this also. Perhaps we will be able to test Eric's white C63 on the same test road down here we always use...and see where he is relative to my car. And then we will see how your car fares against his also. But since your car trapped higher than his at Sacramento (too bad you weren't able to meet him up in Sac last month!), lets see if you really do pull on him at the roll on event. If you do, your Vbox numbers are also going to be higher than his C63 or my 335i numbers. Again, we both ran each other, we both Vboxed our cars to support our results, now please get us some numbers on your car either right before the event or after so we can see if my assumptions are correct! Also, roll on events can also be somewhat deceiving. Just look at Drews FI E92 M3 (DLSJ5) videos. He is the expert in roll racing videos. Look at how much variance there are in results between the same cars on different runs. While roll racing events can be lots of fun, you need some hard numbers to go along with it.
