BMW of Sudbury? How is their service?

I have never been there but is close enough to me. Any feedback for their service?

Thanks

I believe Darkrom has a friend that works there? Maybe he can chime in

I have only used Peabody and Tulley, and I am starting to like Tulley more

Thanks. I just drove by them the other day and looks to be as close to me as Herb in Boston and closer compare to Peabody. Will give them a chance next service

Sudbury has always been good to me, especially through my 2 HPFP problems and spark plug/injector issues. I would recommend them.

Used to go to the Herb Chambers in Boston and always had problems with them.

Yup you are right. I do have a friend there. Ask for Kevin Waters as a service adviser. When you see him tell him you know me from E90post.

He's a nice dude and actually cares about your cars. Builds cars in his spare time, knows his shit and one of the few who gives a fuck about you, not just getting paid.

They weren't bad when I had to bring in the 335 for service. They were pretty easy going but they did end up giving me this huge Ford truck as a loaner rather than a normal 3 series loaner. That was a bit of a PITA but aside from that they did a nice job.

Any idea how 'mod friendly' they are? I just picked up an 09 335, took delivery off the transporter truck today, start it up and BAM! wastegate rattle. Car has JB4/downpipes/dinan catback. I'll put the OEM downpipes in if i have to but i'd rather not. doesn't look like a fun job only to have to re-do it.

It depends who you get. I'm under the impression that if in real life the mod doesn't cause the problem, they shouldn't blame it.

Like everyone says, if you go to Sudbury, Kevin is the real deal. I use to drive all the way to Peabody (from Watertown) because I had Brian Boudreau as my SA. He drives a 335D which he mods as well and everytime I go there we chat a bit about BMWs. Now that he's no longer there, Kevin has been just as great for my last couple of visits. Thanks darkrom for your recommendation!

As a side note...since we want to make sure that BMW continues to hold on to SA's like Kevin, if you end up getting great service from Kevin...please email/send a thank you note to BMW USA or BMW Sudbury management for his great service so that he gets recognized and hopefully they make sure he doesn't go anywhere. Good SA's seem to be hard to find these days so I think it's worth it to write something to management to give the guy recognition.

I always make sure I acknowledge great service reps along with making sure bad service reps get an ear full.

Glad to hear you guys all had good experiences with him as well. I know its easy to say he treats me well since I've known him forever, but really he does treat every car like his own so I'm glad you guys all feel the same way.

Yeah virtualbong hit the nail on the head. Emails saying how happy you are with him really go a long way. Too many people only take the time if the rep sucks haha.

Glad to see you guys suggesting him still. I wish I had someone like him working at Mitsubishi!

My car has suddenly died upon me. While driving it on Thursday it all of a sudden lost power while in motion!! Luckily, I was driving slow so I started to pull over when I noticed this. Within 30 seconds, everything powered back up, but that was scary shit! I managed to nurse it home and have not driven it since.

I have also tried to get in touch with Kevin Waters at Sudbury over the past week, but have been unsuccessful. I've even sent him an email. Can anyone provide any suggestions?

Just want to chime in. I have had good experience with BMW of Sudbury. They are generally good about appointments dates. The service is quick and I haven't had any trouble. I would definitely recommend the BMW of Sudbury. Of course they wanted $470 to replace the six spark plugs, which most people here know is a bit too much. But that's what you get from a proper BMW dealership.

I had bad experience at the Peabody dealership though, wouldn't recommend the BMW Peabody service.

What town is the Centennial Drive in? I have only been to the one in Sudbury and the one in Peabody, so I can only speak for them.
