Problem with brakes?

Ok guys hoping you can help me out. I have a 2008 335xi, auto with comfort access. Whenever I used to start my car, I would depress the brake pedal 1-2 inches with minimal effort to start the car. After doing a pretty intensive track weekend, I noticed that when going through my starting the car ritual, the brake pedal no longer has the 1-2 inches of slack. I actually need to push on the pedal with 40+ pounds of force so the car thinks the brake pedal is depressed for the car to start. Once the car is running, there is no observable problem with the brakes.

What do you think happened? Did my track weekend screw up the brakes? My car has 6,500 miles and the onboard computer says I need new front brakes in 7,000 miles and new rears in 10,000.

Any insight?

Did this happen just once or is it happening every start up?

Power assisted brakes usually keep enough vacuum for 2 or 3 presses of the brake pedal after the car has been turned off. After that you won't have any assist and will need to push the pedal down harder as you described. This is normal. If you find that you don't have that 2-3 press reservoir then there may be something wrong with your braking system

hmmm, I havn't tracked my car but recently, my E93's brake pedal is also locked up, which requires excessive force, versus just a light tap...it's weird.

No clue how it happened...

Bleed your brakes after doing a track event.

Defective check valve.

Call your dealer, mention SI B34 06 07 they should fix it.

That was my first thought and good advice - however it doesn't seem to have anything to do with his problem. Boiled brake fluid would cause soft spongy brakes.

You mean the brake booster isn't working properly because a bad check valve is causing it to lose vacuum. That would make sense!
