I'm in Canada too, and my 09 335d had it, but our new '11 335d does not. I was pretty bummed about that

its probably in the premium kit. I have it and i only have the premium and cold weather.

I have these, but can most drivers really benefit from it? I mean does it help that dramatically? I can't tell and I drive at night a good bit especially during day light savings time.

Not so much on the highway but, I think they make a pretty substantial difference on the back roads that have no shoulder and city roads that aren't well lit around here. Between the beams themselves turning and cornering lights it's nice to have the inside of a corner well lit.
