E92 Navi Update (09)..

Hey guys,

Just curious. Anybody perform a Navi Update for their E90/E92? Any difference other than roads?

Also, anybody willing to sell or "rent" it out?

Roads are updated, more 3D (usually in cities), updated POI... You will need an FSC code that is tied to your VIN.

sweet, I will look into it. Have you done it? What did it run you? It was only 260 for my MB.

You can do it yourself for way less than that. Read into some of the other threads in this section... It is really easy. I update myself once a year!

updated my 2009 to 2013. Haven't noticed too much of a difference in my area. Guess there is a few more 3D in the bigger city portion.

You can get the maps for free (search around this forum, 2014 is out), you just need to pay for the FSC code.

An FSC code is an unlock code for installation of updated maps on any MY09+ 3-series navigation system.

I can help you get an FSC code if you need one and are interested in updating your maps. Just shoot me a PM.

Sounds like the DVD drive was having problems reading the disc. Usually with car navigation systems, it's a good idea to burn DVDs at the slowest speed possible as their CD/DVD drives tend to be sensitive.

MMME90W over on the M3Post side did his 3-DVD update in about 45 minutes. Everyone else using USB updates was about the same as well.
