Bluetooth, no one can hear me

I have a 2009 E93 335i and I am using it with my iphone 3G and now 3GS, in both cases whenever i talk to anyone they say I sound extremely far and that they can' t here me, even when i put my mouth right up to the mics (on top of the steering wheel column in the E93) I have to transfer the call to the phone and forget about bluetooth all together, which I don't like to do while driving.

do I have a faulty mic or something or is this the norm???

any feedback is appreciated...

I've used the iPhone 2g, 3, and now the 3gs and it works fine

I mean, with the top down you can't expect to be heard to well lol

lots of wind noise

but even then people Can still hear me as long as the windows aren't all the way down and I'm not on the freeway

Ok thanks guys I'll take it in then, it just sucks that I have to take the procede out first then reinstall it, that's why I try to limit my visits to the dealer

I would take it to the dealer. Sounds like the mic may be faulty. Mine works fantastic. One of my favorite extras.
