WTF?
More like I've blown my pistons and connecting rods for my N54, cause of a piggyback tune. To be honest, with a tune on my 335i, I don't see it lasting too long. Thats why I refuse to do any serious mods on it.

Can't wait to see the superchargers shipping, what kinda software?

How many blown bottom ends have there been reported due to a tune of ANY kind on the N54? How many of those were attributed to mis-use if any? How many FI N52's are there? Which one has proven itself more? This isn't really even an argument. I'm only saying that the car was not designed with FI in mind, and therefore the proper precautions have not been made. I'm all about doing more with less. I had a NA 2g eclipse that I wanted to turbo and I currently have an e46 330i I wanted to SC. But the reality is the sum of work you'll have to do and the money you spend really would be the difference between upgrading to a better car if the condition of your 328's are still good. The biggest difference is the N54 has more room to go. The N52 without serious work 99% of you won't be doing will be topped out. This is true with all applications

SR20-DE vs SR20-DETT
2JZ-GE vs 2JZ-GTE
6G72 VS 6G72T
4G63 VS 4G63T

Built differently, without excessive modification you are simply spending as much or more for less reliability and support...Proven. Now, if you aren't going to be upgrading your cars, then more power to you... I can say I surely wasn't going to upgrade to an M3 or to the GSX. So turbo was definately the way to go on my NA cars. But had I not been attached to them, upgrading and taking the time to go out of my way would have been a smarter and cheaper option.. I clung to the, "Insurance will be cheaper" excuse the whole time. Plus, people don't expect your 328 to be boosted so its a sleeper.

EDIT: And the fact that you are a N52 driver saying we are blowing pistons and such because of tunes simply makes you a hater and a gossip spreader... Just tell me you disagree for Christ sakes.

Haha, yeah. I'm thinking about ordering those shadow emblems from JLevi to do the 316i, lol. I think it will be funny Maybe i'll get them for Christmas

But back on topic... Any news of the gains? I'm surprised they actually got the tuning to work.
Did they get the tuning to work? I remember when HPF tried to turbo a 330i and failed cause of tuning problems. Valvetronic is so complicated to work with.

For engine/drive-ability/etc. cases, we do not accept cases for review in which the owner has modified the vehicle via installation of aftermarket performance “chips”, “mapping”, “intake systems” and “starting at the exhaust manifold” exhaust systems, etc. We also do not pursue cases wherein one or more repair invoice on your 335i states “outside influence – not a warranty issue” or “evidence of tampering”. If the vehicle is used for "business purposes," a lemon law claim/case cannot be brought on that vehicle if there are more than 5 vehicles registered to the owner/business.

Yes you are right about that but now bmw coming out with a new motor call the n55 and that motor is base on our motor. So we will be seening this new motor in the new 535I, 535I gt and may be in the new 335i. So back to what I was trying to say is now nothing is complicated it just take a lot of time to tune it right. So now the market should open up a little bit more for us if they going goin to make a tune for that motor.

Note: the n54 motor is base on the e46 330I motor for thoese who didn't know.
And the n55 is base on our n52 motor, But the only different is it just have a single turbo and make about the same amount of power as the n54 motor.

We just need to find a right tune for our cars like how HPF did for the m3. If we can fine a right tune for it. Then we can pritty much do anything with our cars like turboing and supercharging it.

Im impatient, so here is a snip of the email of got from Arma today:

Good day!!
The E90 328 and E90 330 will be done early March.
We just finished to test E90 323 and E90 325.
The condition is good so I think E90 328 and E90 330 will be successfully.
