Lol, I have never heard a muffler delete with no drone.

But again, drone is subjective.

more or less a "boomy" sound. Kind of resembles a deep bass sound from a subwoofer which is constantly emitting.

I did the muffler delete too. Drone tends to happen between 1k-2.7k rpm, which is kind of unfortunate cause thats where the auto shift points are at. If anything the drone is just kind of embarrassing, cause it makes it difficult to have a conversation just driving around town (It's got me thinking about finding a cheap magnaflow to cut down on the drone). It's loads of fun at first, but after a month or so the drone is probably gonna start getting on your nerves

I do not notice drone....I don't think. One thing I don't like it when ever I push on it and it gets up over 4000rpms some really high pitched sound comes out of no where. Sounds broken

Sounds good! BTW drone only really happens when you're stuck going at one speed normally around 2-3k ish.

Drone will be in a different range for different exhausts. I have drone from 2-2.5k outside of that it is stock sounding, no sound at all. As OP said, a muffler delete will tend to drone from 1k-2.7k. Really depends. As time passes, either you'll get used to it, or you'll hate it and put the muffler back on.

I still don't notice the drone. You just can't push on it so it stops yor from flooring it

It could just be my set up with the Magnaflow tips but when ever the rpms go above 4000 in a lower gear I get a sound that brings the cats out of the gutter its really loud and ricey does not sound like a car should make that sound. But the gurgling it makes when it automatically downshifts in DS mode are orgasmic

you will lose a substantial amount of torque doing muffler delete... Especially with the 335i. That is why I recommend a free flow exhaust.

328 doesn't have a substantial amount of torque to begin with, you'll be fine.

Turbo cars are more picky about having back pressure than NA cars. Loss of torque from doing a muffler delete on a 328 shouldn't be all that noticable.

BTW, your AA exhaust is basically a muffler delete. A very expensive muffler delete.

Definitely not substantial, I wouldn't think I would be able to tell before/after anyway lol. You will also shed lbs which will help with acceleration.

The AA exhaust comes with a resonator, or you can call it a "small" muffler. Not exactly a muffler delete and it is a lot tamer. Muffler delete is LOUD... inside and outside. Not sure if its appropriate for a 328i hahah.
