SMOG TIME for 2007's

Has anyone taken their tuned N54's to SMOG yet. Thankfully mine are not due until January (NO MORE SNIFFER in 2013), but I was curious how crazy the technicians go over visuals, as I have Downpipes installed, but my secondaries are in place on the stock exhaust. I can easily re-install my stock intake, so I am not worried about that.

Some of the places I've been to and my buddies, the smog tech checks the engine bay and exhaust. They didn't check the cats. Good luck Joe! I'm sure you'll pass!

Has anyone heard about whether or not it is illegal now to have High Flow Cats installed?

Old post, but anything except stock is technically illegal, even in states that don't check for emissions.

Mine is in October. I'm going to install a DP Fix then, turn JB4 off and then go for it. If I fail the first time I'll put everything back to stock and go back. I expect to pass the first time, though...No Sniffer this year

I know with Cobb that the dp codes are still present when you check the obd port so it won't pass. But maybe it will with a dp fix?

Correct. Same with JB4; gotta have it turned of for OBDII readiness, and thus need the DP Fix so suppress codes for c@less dp's

On a side note. If you're in SF, get your smog check at the Chevron on Market and Castro. $30 for the test and certificate. Tell them you saw the deal on Google. I just got mine done 2 weeks ago.

I don't think they will remove underbody trays. I wouldn't worry about them if you have a dpfix.

So for sure no more sniffers?
DP fix and engine bay with stock air box should be good to go?

UPDATE, stopped by two Smog stations, Tailpipe will still be used, they will eventually phase it out, but unknown when...I am guessing secondaries only will not pass :\ Time to get some downpipes.
