Hello Steve
Welcome to the busiest non-BMW BMW forum around If you actually owned a BMW, you'd probably not fit in on here Nice new car, much nicer (more modern at least) than your W211 although you are one crazy soul for preferring the 5-speed 'box over the far superior 7G-tronic Don't bite Steve.....resist the urge to set me right on gearbox choice.......ssshhhh |

That is so true, does anyone actually own a BMW any more??
I loved the 7g 'box in my W211 E320cdi, never had any issues with it at all, and the one in my current E350 is just as good. However, think I am going to sell my E350, to be honest I am bored of cars. I know that sounds stupid but I have got to the point where I think I am buying them for something to be into, and think that getting back into retro games or something might be a cheaper hobby! |

It certainly ain't cheap, thats for sure. Bu you may not be as bored as you think you are, especially if you downgrade significantly and then realise you miss what you had.

I think I just haven't bonded with this car like I did the E320cdi I had before. I nearly didn't buy that car and then loved it. I have called a local dealer and asked if he would be interested in my E350, he has offered me what I was wanting for it and going to see him Monday, so I will have a think over the weekend. |

LOL, I used to think that Mercs were for fat old men but some them are pretty good now and the ride is way better than my 330d, holds traction so much better. How much of that is down to the tyres I don't know but the Merc has Conti 5Ps where's my E91 had PS3 runflats.
