Cannot Clear ECU code with creader
I had a CEL a few weeks ago. I just got the C-reader. Plug it in and it gives code 0237. However, It seems to give me this error every time the device is plugged in. I have tried 6-7 times. Left it in for a few minutes. It doesn't seem to be clearing the code.
Any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate any advice. |

just tried it again.
says launch..1..2..3..4..5..0237...0237...0237. Then it repeats. the reader only has 4 digits to display, and no letter. If I interpret the instruction book properly, it refers to Turbo sensor "A" circuit low. I assume that with this reader, "P" is understood to precede every code. |

thanks,
but how do I clear it? The code reader says that it will clear after 4 cycles. It still shows up no matter how many times or how long I plug in the reader. |

According to bmw p code 0237 is for Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor 'A' Circuit Low. take the car to the dealer - you got a problem with a boost sensor |

I think there could be some confusion.
If you get a service engine soon light it will be in yellow words. There is no "check engine light" on the E90 models. The yellow half engine icon is a limp mode/power reduction and that may not store a fault or can't be read by aftermarket fault code readers. |

If the engine picture light is on, the car will be in no boost mode which I assume isn't the case. If the "Service Engine Soon" light is on, there will be an OBD related code that should be readable and clearable by the CReader (or any other up-to-date OBD scan tool). You are right. It is important that people recognize the difference.
