The Official Spring 2007 DC Metro Meet Planning and Discussion Thread

I'd like to think we can get 30 post members + families to come...come'on folks sign up...

The menu looks awesome...the venue is beautiful...the drives to/from are sweet...it's a holiday weekend, so most folks are off work (sorry Dani), and you get to hang out with BMW folks...the whole thing is going to cost everyone less than $20 per car...(i hope)...so what's stopping the signup list from growing??

Let's get the word out...newbies, vets, everyone...come'on!!

FYI Donny and Scottie

I was told that parking is not exclusive to the pavilion picnic'er, so the earlier you can secure Pavilion parking one the better to get the cars under one lot.

Scott, we should start the usual promo campaign soon as we decide/finalize on more details like planned activities, giveaways (if any) etc.

The usual tools are signature panel space, PM blitz, registering our meet on the e90post schedule etc.

Don't worry, we'll get those numbers, I'm confident

Don't worry if people will show up. I find in planning events that most people don't commit till the last minute. I say slap a post linking people from the main forum and in time we will get it full. It looks like most who have committed at this point are serious, so we've go that going for us..... and the coozie was invented to hide our drinking anyway, so if nobody shows we'll have ourselves a little par-teah!

Seriously though, I've been getting better about checking our local stuff, but I am betting it could be as infrequent as a week for some people. My guess is the last week will fill up enough to justify the effort. I'm thinking 20 people is easy at this point and 30 plus is more than likely, so is that enough to run with it?

F1, that's always been an inside mantra among us planners....its worked for us before

30+ total attendees is definitely doable...I have a feel about these things and its almost always proven right. I say about 20-25 cars at this time...
