Performance Exhaust
I just got the Performance Exhaust for my E92 335i yesterday. So far I've put about 50 miles, and it has been amazing so far. Words can't describe the exhaust. Go get yourself a PE and you won't regret it at all. Hit up Marco at Mckenna BMW for you PE. My friend will be uploading more videos of the PE.

I second this recommendation
 The only thing I can do without daily is the REALLY loud grumble at cold startup in my garage. I'm sure the neighbors aren't happy for the 30 seconds it takes until it fades away. Ah well... the drive is that much better!! Acceleration is one thing, but that burble on deceleration is so intoxicating

here is my question:
I have heard PE and sounds amazing, no doubt. has anyone removed the insulation from the factory mufflers and see\hear how that sounds? is it close to the PE, after all PE is just more "open" exhaust than the factory 335. Thanks. |

For the E92, the system is axle-back with only the two mufflers/ 3 clamps. For the E90, the system is catback, with a midpipe (deletes the resonator and replaces it with crosspipes). The pipe itself also has deformities that the stock doesn't. Then comes the two mufflers and 5 clamps. I assume that they are there to negate drone and to enhance the burbles and pops. This is hands-down the nicest sounding exhaust available for the 335i, the N55 most especially. Refined, exotic, and not overly loud. Most aftermarket 335i exhausts sound like crap, IMO. I have thoroughly enjoyed my PE and get compliments often. What a great upgrade!
