I wonder who actually forks over $2000 for an intake. Anyone here?

I have taken the stock 335i intake completely apart - I will post pics. Its not only the surface area but how the air flow is reduced like crazy. Its amazing the route it must take (not talking about the cai either) the box it self. Notice the height of the peice on the top left: The stock peice is flat. There is also a divider in the stock box. The air must travel up and over the divider then back down into the intake plumbing. Its reduced to a 3X6 Inch surface area |

WTF??? I'd pay that price if the following conditions are met...
1. Give me gains of at least 20hp 2. Throw no weird codes on the dash 3. The sales associate comes to my house and give me a bj... if all 3 conditions are met, i will consider purchasing it... ridiculous

Joke
Idiotic....ram air for a turbo system......
It would be more practical to develop a snorkel system like the Land Rovers so the the 335i can go underwater.

$300-500 with proven gains on a stock and ProCede system, and more so when combined with a good exhaust, might sell well. Come up with a package for $2500 to $3500 that provides 400+ HP and 450+ torque and you might not be able to make enough of them.
