Try a CG lock in your car for a few weeks, and see if youre still getting back pain after that!

Sorry to hear about your back I'd be gutted to sell that car, it's stunning but your health is more important!

(If a remap is an inevitability then the 325d is defo the clever choice!)

Oh no !! the condition of the car shows the care and attention it's got from it's owner, as other's have said see if more comfortable seats/suspension would help mate, it's doubly gutting that you are having to let go of such as stunner then to lose money on top.....Get well soon Alex, I wish you well

Thanks guys. Just bought a cg lock and various lumbar cushions / seat wedges to trial them, hopefully that will help. May even try SE suspension?

After spending so much time on the car and its clearly going to be heartbreaking to strip. Would it be worth sending a letter to BMW head office, explain your situation... Do you think after seeing your car and the care and attention to it they will sympathise with your situation and maybe help to modify the car?? Its probably a very long shot. But I think it would be a good marketing campaign for them and good bit of publicity. Even if they modified the seats for you

this is definitely the best E92 I have seen!
Congrats on a superb car!

Hope the cushions/exercises allow you to keep it. Such a lovely motor.

Anyhow your points about exercise and physical therapy are probably right and Its reassuring to know that someone in a similar position is still driving around. how do you find the x5 seating?

The X5 seats are fine. The 3 Series Sports seats were also OK, but the biggest problem was actually getting in and out of the car. Some overly soft seats like soggy sofas cause me immediate problems and I still can't lie on my side with legs in the running position to sleep.

The problem is mainly nerve imflamation due to comression. Physiotherapy, traction and excercises to strengthen core and spinal muscles could help....but the problem is getting through the acute phase so you can deal with the chronic pain. In the past, 6 sessions of Massage with Fango (large cushion filled with hot mud) used to get me straightened out but compressed discs need a more physical intervention. Ask your Doctor about traction, physio and excercises

Alex
Sorry to hear that. There are many solutions to your backpain, disc problems, disc degeneration and treatment varies as per issues. Your car is brilliant and I am sure that you'd love to keep it.
If you need any professional opinion / help (Physiotherapy and surgeons's opinion), shoot me a pm and I'll be able to help you.

Put the car up for sale, e9x's get lost on PH but thought i'd post it on here in case anyone knows anyone interested. Fortunately the dealer who sold it me has come back with a decent Px value so probably won't need to sell it privately, but thought it would be rude not to at least put a heads up on here.

cheers

I noticed you'd not listed your audio mods on the PH Ad, are you stripping it out before the sale ? If so, could I have dibs on the morel center speaker mate....

my installer's been a really good bloke and has costed me about half the price of original fitment to put my car back to OEM and then fit the kit all over again into my next car. If i PX it for an x5 or something then i'll put the kit in, otherwise ill put it up on classifieds and give you a PM about the Centre mate.
