On top of the H8 Angel eyes and interior LEDs that I got, he also does indicators and reverse lights, but I wasn't overly keen on changing them.
Ha, they look great - well done! Interior lights for me soon!

Bulbs look very well done don't they- its a shame he's not on the forum after the rep that Horizon have seemed to establish!

Love this motor, I would say storm grey is the best - but I may be biased haha!

Look forward to your updates!

Been meaning to say, looks like you have a CIC nav and I saw someone on here, will try and get a link, change the hard drive on it from a standard disk to a solid state drive (SSD) - this will dramatically change the load time.

I changed to a SSD and made a noticeable improvement, see my build thread for details.

Cheers guys. The nav and screen after work etc load up fine, very quickly. It's just the occasional morning that it takes a while to wake up, screen blank, no radio, nawt. Bit random really.
Do you know if the CIC can be updated to allow postcode search?

From looking at the info, if you have a USB in the glove box (which I do) you need to update it from the BMW ICOM system (or from DVD's?) but it you have a USB/AUX in the center console its just a wee pen drive you need with the new maps on it.

I'm prob gonna wait and get a combox + USB/AUX in one hit then update/code everything in from there.

Okay, cheers guys.

I know I have USB and AUX in the centre console, I don't think I've seen USB in the glove box, but I've not looked closely.

If is just putting in a usb pen to the centre USB slot, is this something people have on here that is borrowed/sent around, or is it something I need to buy ?

Cheers

You will need the CIC to be flashed via ICOM.

Not a common piece of kit, so you'll need to locate someone in you area!

Ahhh okay. I've posted in the coding thread but it seems to be only people asking none offering help. I'm in Warwick if anyone able to code is reading this and willing to help.

You decided one wheels yet?

With the cold weather using the rear heated screen a lot but it screws with the radio reception is this just the norm?
Also the boot hinges for both the main boot and the glass pop are quite stiff. I've sprayed them with some white grease but no change.
Any ideas?

Missed this mate!

Not sure who's local to you with ICOM, but my mate does it up here in the North East. Too far to travel I'd imagine!!

It'll be the earthing strap on the right hand side hinge. Often gets brittle. Use loads of WD40 on the hinges and work the glass and tailgate over a period of days/weeks.

And when are you popping round? Got a 340i at the moment if you fancy a spin?!

R99 I'm in touch with some one on here so hopefully get it sorted it soon. Did Apex get back to you with delivery costs for the wheels to the UK?

Matt I'll check the earth strap, it would make sense as I've been trying to grease and open and close the lid and glass more often to loosen it up. I'll give wd40 a go. I replaced the boot struts with some cheap amazon jobbies which have helped the main boot lid raise but still tough to close.

Yeah i need to pop over, need to pick your brains on some cleaning kit. How long you got the 340i for?

They did!

I am still hoping to get some ordered up to replace my existing winters.

I want the 18" ARC-8 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear.

Yourself?

Big13 - I've PM'd you details

There the ones I want. I'm quite tempted by the 17's. Some of the guys in the US have got them looking really good, but want to go for the 370mm disc's like you have.

What colour you thinking ? I'm liking the Anthracite.

If you don't mind Pm me the delivery cost they've quoted you.

Cheers

Yeh, if you want the 370mm's, then you'd have to get the 18"!

They didnt give me any shipping costs, but told me that they have a group buy coming up soon (1st week of Feb) and depending on numbers there will be ip to $200 off a set of ARC-8's plus a further $75 off UK shipping!

Been a bit quiet on here recently as been working hard and trying to play hard as well. Been to the Alps downhilling and a few track day recently.

The pile of bits for the 335i is growing, JB4 and downpipes purchased, will get the other bits shortly. Quite keen on R99 brakes, but we'll see, bit strong on price for me atm.

Some photos of why I really got the e91 over a e90. Just about fit everything in a need too.
