Poor Experience w USPS & Tischer
Ordered my ZHP shift knob from Tischer. The USPS screwed up big time. First they delivered the package to New Hampshire instead of Boston, and then the package automatically was returned to Tischer for some reason.
Once Tischer confirmed receipt I asked them to please overnight me the package (at the post office expense). They did not. And responded by saying this was USPS bad, and it was not their problem. For any one of my customers I would have taken the extra step to overnight it to them. I diddnt even have to pay for overnight! But Tischer did not. When I emailed them to confirm cancellation of my order, they did not reply. I was shocked because all the reviews for Tischer seem to be excellent. I will have my shift knob from another vendor shortly.

First, this should probably be in the vendor review section of the forum. Second, I'm sorry to hear that you had issues with USPS. Honestly, I don't think you should expect Tischer to eat the shipping cost of overnighting a product to you when it was at USPS' fault. I do think Tischer should have responded to your order cancellation but I wouldn't be surprised if they already shipped it out to you again after you contacted them about the shipping issue.
You said it yourself USPS screwed up big time, not Tischer. I never had an issue with Tischer once, so I continue to purchase from them. Even if they do screw up, I'd probably give them the benefit of the doubt |

had a problem with them before too, but it wasn't that big of a deal...just a longer wait. the shipping address on the box had the wrong zipcode one time and another time it went to the wrong apartment. but whatever could be worse.

Doesn't sound like a big of a deal. Was it that urgent enough that you would have to wait a little longer for a shift knob? Plus you said it yourself that it wasn't even their fault. If you had to have it so badly why not go to the local dealership and pay a premium price? They seem to have unbelievable service on this forum. I would give them another chance.

Why would I want to do business with someone like that? Worse things could happen. I'm just ranting / letting people know how my experience was.

How do you know that? You even said you don't know why USPS automatically sent it back to Tischer.

Evan and Jason that run getbmwparts are stand up guys, I've heard them say in the past (not just making excuses) that the issue sometimes lies within their shipping department. Obviously that may have some adverse effects on their reputation as a whole, but at its core they are a great company in my experience.

Nowhere in your post did you mention that USPS offered to overnight it for free.....you sounded like you expected Tischer to overnight it and when they didn't, you flipped out and cancelled the order that would probably have been on its way to you in a few days.....
It's really not a big deal, it's just a shift knob, a ZHP one at that..... Not trying to be a d1ck but you kinda sound like a customer who expects things to be done your way when they don't comply, you flip out and cancel the order? Really? Guess you had to have them the next day huh? Lol Quote:

Neither could they explain why that was done! I spoke with a manager at my local post office. That's how I know

Maybe you are a customer who is used to paying for things and not receiving them. I am not. Guys, the vendor could have very easily turned this around at USPS expense. I was just surprised at the way they handled it. Just my opinion. The other part of this post adresses the USPS. I don't want others to get screwed over by the post office in cases like this. Thanks for reading

I've ordered things from Tischer numerous times. Never had a problem other than they sent me the wrong item one time and quickly corrected it and sent the right part the next day. PMing Evan on here is the best way to contact them.

They sent the wrong order to my buddy last year, he ended up getting an oil change kit by mistake, can't remember what part he ordered, maybe headlight lenses or something rather, but they told him to just keep the kit and not worry about it...not a bad deal if you ask me.
