I think the $200 set might be for me. I will have to take a look at the DIY to install, but I only have very basic tools, nothing too crazy. OH and a total lack of patience!!

___________FITMENT________________________________
One of the only problems we ran into was getting the downpipes to reach the exhaust but with a lil adjustment they bolted in like a charm. Fitment is %100 no leaks rattles or bs they sit perfectly and compliment my muffler delete very well.

________________POWER______________

Previous mods were jb3 map7,DCI,muffler delete and lemme tell you guys something this car pulls crazy!! after catless downpipes.Alot of guys downplay the power that catless dp's hold and they should stop doing that because its simply amazing it wakens up the car this is "THE" mod anyone with a tuned n54 should have.

Fitment pics, dyno #'s and sound clips will be up very soon.

Why was it a problem reaching the exhaust and how did it resolve this issue?

Their was about a 1 inch gap between the downpipes and the midpipes so we just loosened the midpipe bracket pulled the midpipes closer to the downpipes (about an inch) tightened the bracket again and bolted on the downpipes. It was probably a extra 5 minute job.

I think I'll pull the trigger. $198 is not that expensive.
Any updates after these last couple of days?

Just be careful. Most gaskets are designed for one use only. They are actually intended to compress when tightened between two flanges and they eseentially mold to the exact shape. Even if the two surfaces being connected look the exact same, they propbably aren't. Theres always a good chance of having some minor leaks as well as some stuctural integrity issues when re-using a gasket, especially in a new application. For how cheap they are, just buy a new set... just my suggestion...

I would suggest not putting in race gas. This way you're actually checking the downpipes worth and not adding in other variables, however it's your car....do with it as you please.

Wow, don't know if I'm going to accomplish this or not. The local shop here quoted me 5 hours of work to replace DPs. They said they had to suspend the engine and drop the subframe to get in there. $400 to put in DPs sounds a little excessive to me.
I guess I'll check for shops in Memphis.

you DO NOT have to suspend the engine AND you DO NOT need to drop the subframe!

Do you have an xi? That sounds exactly like the xi install procedure. Non-xi should be significantly easier.

That seems to be the normal pricing here in Texas.

I'm pretty sure he was at the track last week, floored it and they blew up and flew off the vehicle, pulling out the transmission and rear bumper on the way out... No. This didn't really happen. I'm curious about any test results as well.

I helped install DPs on a friends XI and I can tell you it was a huge pain in the ass. Short of lifting the motor there was no way to get the new ones in. He ended up cutting the new ones in half and having new flanges put on, then the install only took about a half hour!
