FS: Sigma 20mm F1.8 EX DG ASP RF Wide angle Lens - Nikon -

This is an Amazing lens in Amazing condition. I just love the photos that I took with this lens. I'm selling it because I no longer need/use it.

Specs:

- Designed for use with full frame digital cameras

- May also be used with smaller APS-c size sensors

- Two Aspherical glass elements offer correction for distortion

- Minimum focusing distance of 7.9 inches allows close-up photography with a lens to subject distance of only 2.6 inches providing a magnification ratio of 1:4

- Rear focus system eliminates front lens rotation & is suitable for use of Petal-type lens hood & polarizer filters

What is included? A lens hood, front/rear lens cap and carrying case are included with the lens.

Beware:
* Nikon Mount: NO built in motor lens: NOT compatible with D40, D40x, D60, D3000, D5000, and apparently some D7000.

it is very compatible with those Nikon cameras, it just won't auto-focus.

Thanks for the info! Just sharing what states on the Sigma website.
Apart from that I had a chance to try out this lens on few D7000 bodies and it did not work. Apparently something strange with D7000, the top screen freezes.

Other than that it works flawlessly with full-frame bodies.

the top screen freezes? or displays fEE or some error in place of the aperture value?
if the latter, that just means it won't meter and you must rely on manual exposure.

i just wanted to stress that Nikons are special in that they can accept all lenses made in the F mount dating back to the 1950s (with the exception of some strange fisheye lenses that interfere with the mirror's motion. they will mount and you can shoot, you just won't be able to auto-focus and/or auto-meter.

You seem to know alot about Nikon

The top screen freezes in the meaning that you can not adjust aperture or shutter speed or any other setting, the LCD has no sign of change no matter what you do. The camera does not fire any shots as well.

I found this thread regarding this issue: http://www.shutterasia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44132

I know about the fEE error and I get it on my D700 (even when lens aperture is in locked position) when a lens with aperture ring is attached (D type) but it is not the same case with D7000.
