Bypassing bluetooth module?

I'm having a problem with my radio/cd player/bluetooth cutting out every few seconds and then turning back on. Took it down to local garage who bypassed the bluetooth (not sure exactly how but they temporarily connected a couple of wires) and it fixed the problem but obviously the bluetooth wasn't working.

Does anyone know if I can manually disable the bluetooth myself whilst I try to find the bluetooth module and how do I find which the part no. is for the bluetooth module?

thanks in advance

Just had a similar problem with mine. Replaced the TCU, which is located under the boot carpet. Nuisance but an easy fix, spent more time on ebay trying to locate a replacement. BMW wanted £470!!! fyi I paid 110 euros for a used unit from Austria on ebay.de. Good luck!

How did you know which part no. to search for and did it need coding to your vehicle?

I've been told you can't just replace the part as it has the VIN coded to the box?
