Help!! No more thread on shock

To make a long story short....I have no more thread on the bottom part of my rear shock, therefore can't bolt it down. Any ideas except for replacing whole shock?? My installer says we can't re-thread the tip cause it will be too thin and might break under load.

Brought It to a shop and they actually made it look like new.....:-)
