3k a piece and we are talking 900 hp.

On another note. I have driven a 235hp bmw, 300hp bmw, 425hp bmw, 480 hp 911 and a 600hp 911. The jump to 300 and 425 are huge. The jump to 480 was decent, but not staggering. On the butt dyno, the jump to 600 was about 1/3 of what I got from going from 300hp to 425. For me, there was a significant diminishing returns on the feel of accelerations. I think at a certain point, you just cant tell the difference between the Gs. My phone said I was faster in high gears, but in the useable gears for legal driving, its less perceptible. Driving home tonight with only 480 hp, I really didn’t miss the 120 hp, I knew it was gone, but I would be happy with around 500 hp every day.

In all seriousness James, unless there is a real financial/budgetary concern, in which case do what you have to do, you are looking at this the wrong way.

If logic and prudent financial thoughts were the overriding decision making point, nobody would own a porsche. Well, next to nobody. We'd all drive a Prius or the like.

Have costs really changed that much from your pre-purchase analysis?

The fact of the matter is you own a mother fucking porsche. You hear us talk, we would all love to be in that position. For a variety of reasons, you are the only one who has achieved that. You may make the "right" decision by dumping her now...but I guarantee you with every fiber of my soul that you will look back when you have a wife and kids and cannot justify it then either and literally hate yourself for doing so. HATE.

The financial situations hasnt changed (actually improved by 5% this fall), i was about spot on with my estimates on the cost of the car. Its just I am paying 1,130 a month on a 5 year old car (with a dated interior and overall feel close up, my current girl called the car out on that) that creaks like an old ship (I swear it was prefect when I got it, but it now cant take a small bump with out a noise annoying me), with a $3.5k a year maintenance schedule. Add on to it that the clutch really kinda sucks, a cheap $5k fix and an awd system that struggles on 70 degree day.

Now, I could pick up a practically new one year old 335is with 3 years of warranty and free maint, soundless ride over bumps, new interior, and updated tech for $350 less a month in loan payments and $15k less in maint, warranty and repair costs over the next three years.

I needed to get the 911 out of my system, and I did. Someday, maybe I will go back when I can afford one thats not so old.

Add to that, the the 991 c2s is damn near to out performing the 997 turbo and the 991 turbo is going to be a freak.

So basically you made a poor buying decision and/or you are having buyer's remorse? Correct?

100%Yes

To do over again, I would have jumped on the ttrs or an 1m. Now I have to dial it down to get ready for the new m3/4.

I thought the car was worth the cost of being 50% more than a new bmw and i was wrong.

seems as if he put the pussy on the pedestal and it wasn't living up to the super high expectations. I know my car isn't the greatest condition visually or mechanically but I like that grizzled ole' bitch. Plenty of things that need fixing but hey it's 5 years old with 82k+ miles. It is what it is.

Seems like you need to wait till its possible to build your own 911 to be completely satisfied.
