On another note I found a cigarette butt in the bottom of my intake case --a cigarette butt! How the hell does that happen anyway??
I put my stock intake filter back- I'm just desperate to get rid of this crazy rattling and going through some troubleshooting steps.
Anyone have experience with this HP AUTOWERK foam intake oiled filter?

Yes. I had had it before. I saw that it was
oiled, freaked and took it out after three
days. Just not sure about oiled
filters. Its basically new and glad to
sell it a half price plus shipping.
PM me if interested.

What's funny is, I put mine back in a couple of hours ago LOL.
The oil seems a bit unevenly distributed now... hmmm... normal Mike?

Not sure. But thats what gets me about these. Some guys
just wipe most of it off. Then there is the MAF issue.
So i just yanked it out entirely and went stock.

Ah so more preventing a problem before it starts then? Just upon visual inspection, that foam definitely LOOKS like it would allow more air flow than stock.
But then the oil seems like it would impede it. Like how mucus in the lungs makes it hard to breathe?
Guess it's a good thing for the public at large I'm not a doctor

5 hp lawn mower when I look at that.

Just change the charcoal version you guys in the US have and change it with the Euro paper version! No hassle, no cleaning and best flow

Anyone that currently has an intake or any experience with them, lemme know which you think is the best.

Thanks

Looking at your performance mods -
i would say look into a chargepipe if you haven't already.
An intake for our N55 adds great induction sound, but performance
wise, very minimal gains.

For what you pay for - get a drop in filter (like K&N, afe, harold's HP foam filter) for your stock box. The many variables for FBO is not necessary to achieve max power for N55. Tune and catless downpipe ur biggest winner.

If you had no tune but catless downpipe + intake -- then that's
another story. that will add up.

If you're look'n for induction sound either of your
listed choices is fine.
