jmeas | goes online!
I've been away. working every second i have beyond my wedding plans & 9-5 on a online portfolio. There's a good chance I'll be making frequent visits down to the OC/SoCal here for professional photography work if all goes to plan. I finally flipped the "go live" switch on this puppy this afternoon.
I've never made a website before, but knew I needed a more professional platform beyond a facebook page. I was going for a very minimal verbiage, simplistic, modern look with a easy-to-use user interface. I haven't dialed it in to my liking for the smartphones & tablets just yet but wanted to know what you all thought, for those using a computer right now. Figured why not bring this over to my e90post family for honest feedback and what I can do better. Everyone on this forum has always been my single source of motivation to follow photography from the jump. Thanks in advance! http://jmeas.4ormat.com

Nope, I went last year when I bagged my SL600 but some dumb kids spilled drinks in it because the top was down. Ruined the experience for me.

Love the page. Simple, pleasing to the eyes, with the main focus being on the most important part, your photos.
Your work never ceases to amaze me, stunning photos |

Excellent photos! Just some constructive criticism regarding your web page if you are using this for business. You have way too many pics on your intro page. Focus on one or a few of your favorite pics to use on your web page and use a menu to the left with links to categories. EG types of pics and contact info. I have a couple of friends in the business. Maybe add a description of your self, where you are from, what you do, and what your objective is with this site. GL !

i fully agree, the intro page is overkill, maybe i'll keep only those up that i currently don't have full photoshoots for. i'm about halfway through jotting down my "about me" page as well. Great tips, keep them coming!

Looks good
Feels nice to have an actual website right? I built mine a year ago using wordpress and the photocrati plugin, very happy with that.

I'm a photographer, and think the site looks great, it's something I need to do in the near future.
I'm not sure how I feel about the first page being 'Quick Snaps', surely the photoshoots create your best work? Or maybe make a dedicated home page with your favourite shots, photoshoot, quick snaps, and event all mixed, and then people could delve deeper? |
