Installer did black strip of vinyl along dot matrix at top of rear windshield, looks perfect

I have a strip that's prob a lil more than 6in.... In comes down to the base of the rear view mirror. Took some getting used too, but it hides my radar detector and contrAsts the 40% on the windshield

Hey all, I am trying to determine a good brand of tint. Don't like 3M, it looks too matte.
I have a place charging $250 for my coupe and they off Llumar or Solar Guard.

Which do you recommend? i'm going to try to search for pics on here of them.

What are you talking about, tint on the windshield? I don't get this.

I dug these pictures up from my server, they were taken many years ago. I've been pulled over about 8 or 9 times for the tint in Michigan, but have not been pulled over yet here in Houston, which is part of the reason I want to go darker again.

I have an 09 335i now that has tint, but I want to go darker. I will post some pics of it when I get a chance.

01 330ci w/ 5% limmo tint everywhere except the windshield which has 50%.

04 Z06 w/ 5% limmo tint everywhere except the windshield which has 35%
This was REALLY dark, and boy do I miss it!

2001 Lightning, 5% limmo tint on sides, none on the windshield.

I really like them this dark on the rear doors/rear window. afraid if they are this dark up front, I'd have a hard time seeing out at night..especially trying to back up. JMO.

I've got 38% on the front door windows, and that matches very well with the OEM sun protection glass on the rear windows.

For lack of better reason not too, I am going to get 35% Solar Gard Charcoal HP on my ride this weekend. I'll post the pictures. I might go with 50% up front.
Nobody here is posting what brand they buy. How are we supposed to know which we should get? They all have differences.

true but also keep in mind that some tint will be more noticeable to cops

It was $250 for the job. They did an ok job, I can see some streaking on the back window like they scratched the tint with their tools.

They put a solid black strip at the top of the back window to help stick to the dot matrix print on the window. As you can see by the pic, they didn't do a perfect job, its still bubbly there.

I really like the look of the tint. It has a slight reflectiveness in the light instead of straight matte like the 3Ms. So far has held up very well.

$250 for a window tint.. That's ridiculous!
I got mine all 5 windows 20% professionally
Done for $150.. License and insured guy..I'll post some pics tomorrow

Bad picture but paid $150 + $50 tip for 15% everywhere and 50% on the windshield. Wish I went darker to be honest oh well.
