PROcede V3 Features: Rev1 vs Rev2

i have been following all the latest V3 updates with all the new features but it has been very difficult to identify exactly which of these new features will also be available to Rev1 users.

in several of the newer official V3 threads, shiv has said something like:

"some of these new features will be available to Rev1 users but not all"

"Rev1 users will still benefit from updating to these latest maps"

and

"Rev1 users will get about 80% of the performance/features"

but that doesnt tell us exactly which features will be available to Rev1 users. i think it would be helpful for the community (many of which are still running Rev1) if we could have a chart of some sort to identify exactly which new features are available for both Rev1 and Rev2 and which are exclusive to Rev2. anyone else want this?

************************************************** ***************
*EDIT*

according to shiv himself:

Sitting at K&N Engineering in Riverside. So I'll make it quick:

features that rev2 had that rev1 doesn't have:
DTC mapswitching
Built-in adjustable o2 sim
Code clearing/reading
CANbus logging
Dashboard map display
Leanrun protection
Diagnostic trouble code dash display
Certain aspects of lagfix 2 functionality

features that rev 2 will soon have that rev 1 won't have:
map persistence
5 switchable maps (vs 3)
Bogfix
.... And more but that is further down the timeline

cheers
shiv

Could you please give us some more explanation on that? The only way I'm aware right now to read codes is after hooking up your laptop and reading them using the gas pedal method.

What's this?

Like the turbo you blew in your failed turbo upgrade project, Down4it? Rev.1 isn't worthless, try again.

At least get it right, it was 3 sets and if it had gone the other way you would be eating your words. But hey I didn't build them so i really don't give a crap, just another project car to me, and just like any car project it is only gonna go as good as the shop that does the work. On another note i think the rev. 1 is obsolete, there is no new support for it and rev.2 has features that cannot be used on rev.1, or did i miss something? Don't get all emotional about it, i am not saying anything bad about the product or whoever made it, i am just saying that there is no point to owning a rev.1 unit anymore if you want the latest and greatest features, its not like rev.2 is a completely new piggy to the market or anything... When you bring up stuff from the past and try to make something into something that it isn't you just look insecure and childish IMO...

Rev1 is not useless as a product but is useless as a product to be re-sold

Rev1s sell for low 200s to about 300...

While they were over 1000 new

Rev 2 is about 700-800 give or take

More than 2-3 times the price of the Rev 1

What Oren meant was that he is happy that he was able to sell it and make a good % back on his money than try to sell it not and lose almost 80%

Make sense?

It's simple economics and finance.

yeah and if I won the lottery I would be rich.......thanks John Madden.

the Rev I can still take advantage of a lot of the new map updates. If the Rev I is worthless then the JB3 is worthless as well..........oops I just said that. They both control about the same things.
