Should this be my "Out the Door" price?

Here are the wholesale/invoice prices I pulled off the '09 PDFs (E90, manual transmission):

Base----------------------$36,890
Sport Package-------------$1,955
Cold Weather Package-----$1,045
Logic 7--------------------$795
Comfort Access------------$455
Destination-------------------$825
Training----------------------$180
Dealer Profit-----------------$1,000

Out the door price---------$43,145

So would it be safe to assume if the dealer agrees to the $1k profit, I'd have to write a check for only $43,145 to get the keys in my hand?

Of course there's TTL, but paid @ the Tag Agency, NOT the dealer correct?

Oh and FYI, TTL for Oklahoma is 3.25% + $104 in fees, so TTL in this example is $1,506, which brings the grand total to $44,651. I'd get a $500 BMWCCA discount so my grand grand total is $44,151 to have a shiny brand spankin new E90 in my garage

I don't know how it is in Oklahoma, but in CA, we have an 8.25% sales tax. I don't see this in your calculations. Also, in CA, TTL is paid to the dealer, but it's a lot less than what you have listed.

If you don't have sales tax, then yeah, that looks to be the right price out the door.

I thought that's the whole point of TTL: Tax, Title, License!!!

F me running if I have to pay SALES Tax on TOP of TTL. Sales tax in Oklahoma is 8.517%!!!! That's $3,675!!!

Crap... the T in TTL is EXCISE tax.. NOT Sales tax... F me!!! :ripped: :bendover: :nolube:

Yes, sorry, TTL is the whole kit and kaboodle. It includes sales tax, title, and license. So yes, that 3675 looks right. Here's what I do when buying a car. I take whatever the final number for the car is going to be and add 10%. This gives me a pretty accurate estimate of what I'll be paying out the door.

I take it you're ordering the car to spec? But yeah, given the Oklahoma sales tax, the #'s seem right. I wouldn't budge on em either, especially if you're ordering the car to spec, since then it's not part of their allotment.

Yeah, it'll be an order to spec. And I'm not in a rush so if an OK/OKC dealer doesn't wanna play the "$1k over invoice" game, I'll just take my biz down to the plethora of TX Dealers

Wait, so you don't pay sales tax on a car purchase in OK? How's that work?

How are you calculating "dealer profit"? Is it $1000 above MSRP or $1000 above invoice price?

NM i read post #7. The new Invoice prices look like the old MSRP prices...

Wow, that's $6k (17% increase from last year) for a facelift and a heated stearing wheel.
