Story of a Man, Father and Their Shared Love for BMWs - Featuring 1972 2002
BIMMERPOST NEWS Story of a Man, Father and Their Shared Love for BMWs - Featuring 1972 2002 Cars I See has released its second installment, following the first which featured an enthusiast's love for his E30 through 20 years of ownership. This new installment again features a BMW - this time a classic 1972 BMW 2002. It's owned and loved by Patrick Burns, who inherited and shares his love for BMWs from his father Wendell. How much love? Father and son own six BMWs between them. All in all, it's a great story, proving that BMWs (and automobiles) can help bring people together. Afterall, isn't that why we're all here on a forum community full of other BMW enthusiasts? See previous episode 1 @ http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=713857 |

That make me want to pick up a 2002 and flair it just like that!
All he needs to do is fix that air dam and put his damn seat belt on and he's straight! Loved that! |

Besides the obvious lip that needs minor touching up, the video explains the unexplainable emotions I have on my car. Very moving.
2 thumbs up.

Nice video. I have the same feeling as described. I have to E21, and never get so much attention as when I drive one of those. And incredible fun to drive too.

Nice video. My first BMW is my current Z4. My son is 3 years old and he already thinks its his. He's got a poster of it in his room and a little model. Hopefully he learns to appreciate BMWs as well and we form that special bond like these two have. Touching story...

They have a special relationship, I envy that! All I want to add to the collection is a 2002 and an E30 M3 nicely restored and drive on nice fall, spring, and summer days. Cruise along and admire the heritage at my fingertips.

I had the oportunity to see a 2002 in traffic...we were driving side by side, the girl (driver) was in a red 2002 in a sparkling condition and me in my black e90. I was amazed by how good the car looked and what a beautiful stance it had on the road.
When you see people driving cars like that you just cannot deny the fact that a BMW is a true passion for people. |
