The sound of the C63 alone is such a turn on lol I haven't heard it in real life but with an aftermarket exhaust I reckon it would sound awesome!
I know what you mean, my mate m5 has been running on 5 cylinders for awhile. Kept having problems after problems.

I heard sbc c63 has turned white since he owned it especially his interior!!!!!

You definitely do NOT need an aftermarket exhaust system with a C63.

Hi

Well I have filled-up with 98 Ron and giving it a go. I must admit it seems to have more power which one would reasonably expect for the extra 15 cents a litre I guess. It also seems to run smoother though I have only done about 100 kms so far. Will give a tank of 98 a go then try 95 and see if there is any noticeable difference.

I feel like such a dork for having used 91 for 12 months – “dick of the day” award to me I think...

12 months = 1 year... that would be "dick of the year"

Hey guys
Just thought I would comment on this post regarding premium quality fuels.

For a while now I have been informed before from my motorbike mechanics and others that Shell V-Power is not as clean as you would think.

Shell V-Power whilst it is a high octane fuel is it still a cheap quality fuel in comparison to other prem fuels on the market.

So I decided to ask a good mate of mine that is high up in some of the oil refineries located in Melbourne. He is an accredited tester and knows his shit. I asked him about the quality and difference in prem fuels.

He gave me a complete technical rundown of all brands of fuel and all types of fuel.
With out boring you. The conclusion is that Shell V-Power is a shit fuel for a Prem fuel.

Brands like caltex(7-11 and woolworths) and BP are the ones to get. They have the cleanest fuels available in Australia.

As xxx7 noted in a comparison between V-Power and BPU. Your not crazy, a dirty fuel would not be helping that situation. Hopefully it's nothing more severe than that.

Now I used V-Power for many years on my cars. I did notice a difference in the performance of the cars when I switched away from it. You can ask any motorbike mechanic and they all say the same thing. V-Power sucks.
And now that it's been confirmed by my mate il try to avoid using it at all costs.

My mates words. "Never fill up with V-Power if you have the option"

Just thought I'd share it around

I've been running a mix of BP Ultimate and Shell V-Power for a year (depending on which servo is closed when I'm at 1/4 tank).

Fuel economy is generally under 10 l/100k city (6MT 320i).

Switched to a tank of Shell 95 to see whether my fuel economy changes. Notice more sluggishness in first and second gear. After 1/4 tank gone usage is 11 l/100k.

Personal experience gives BP Ultimate the best economy and smoothest engine revs.

Once I do the sums I'll probably revert to BP Ultimate exclusively. Wish BP would discount more.

I refuse to go to Shell as they add on 18 cents on top of the board price (the unleaded 91). BP only add 14 cents - therefore Coles is expecting you to have the extra 4 cents off docket - which I don't always have anyway.

Check it out next time, but here in Melbourne thats what happens.

Been using Ultimate 98 for all my cars and never looked back. Much smoother drive and great for the engine in the long run.

Well, half a tank on and fuel economy on 95 is just about the same as 98 with the same driver and trips. Engine sounds like it's running less smoothly. Maybe it's just in my mind..? I will try BP Ultimate next. From memory that fuel makes my car run the smoothest with noticeably better fuel economy.
